Sunlightsheds Cabinet

Here it goes... After reading through a bunch of threads through a few different forums, I have decided to buy a grow cabinet rather than build one.

I am extremely particular about things and in order to have everything the way that I want it, this just seems like the best idea. I have been looking into a lot of different ideas and I figure since I have the money, I would get the sunlight sheds cabinet. http://www.sunlightsheds.com/cool-cab.htm

I was looking for some opinions on this before I made the jump. It won't be for a little while but I figured I would start the conversation early. With this cabinet, I could go either organic or hydroponic, it wouldn't raise any questions from friends or others with it just sitting in my man room or in the basement, it's got an ozone generator and a carbin filter along with all the other goodies you need for a great grow, every time. Let me know your opinions. I appreciate it everyone.

You could use that as a veg room but for the price its way to small for flowering.

you really think it's too small for flowering 1 or 2 plants? That's all I really want to grow. Maybe 3 at a max. I just know that if I build my own room, I'll be right up around that price range anyway. I got mad OCD when it comes to that sort of thing. I think I need a little more insight before I decide.

You will easily be able to flower 2-3 plants in there, looks good imo.
Sure, 2-3 plants will fit in there. But at $2000 for the cab against the amount of bud produced is a waste.I have about $600 invested in my flowering room and no more than a hundred in my veg cabinet and on a perpetual grow i yeild 4oz every two weeks. That being said, with no other space to grow in except your $2000 cabinet you will be forced to vegg and flower in the same space. That means it will take at least 3 months before you can get one harvest and then have to start all over again from scratch. $2000 for a few onces over 3 month time frame= not worth it.you will have to grow for 6-9 months before your investment can pay you back.My investment was paid back after one grow

I completely agree with your entire statement, except that I will be growing for my "legal limit" I'll be in Colorado and am only allowed to have 2 ounces along with 3 mature plants and 3 immature. That being said, I will have 2 ounces from my 2 or 3 in the cabinet. 2 or 3 plants in their flowering state and 2 or 3 clones waiting to grow. That all being said, does that make more sense now?

Everything ive seen about that cabinet is bad, gets very hot even with its high cfm fans and cool tube. And I dont remember who it was but someone here posted a review about it, all the controls are outside the box on the back panel so theres not really a stealth way to run it.

Not it does not make sense because you will only be able to fit 3 mature plants in there. You will then need to buy or build another grow room for the 3 immature plants or clones due to the fact that your clones need to be in at least 18hrs of light to stay in vegg stage. Your flowering room will have a 12/12 schedule and you cant clone under 12hrs light .Therefore a seperate grow area is needed

damnit man.... i didn't even think about that. I was getting way too ahead of myself. Glad you pointed it out though. I guess I'll have to find a better way to efficiently build a 2 part room. One for flower one for veg. I'm sure I'll fond something on RIU or if you got some suggestions, I'd like to hear them.

Check out this link brother. I would buy two of these, they cost $100 each. They are split cabinets with the same amount of space as the sunlight shed. You could use one for vegging on bottom section, clones in top. Then remove the center divider in the other cabinet and use that as your flowering room. This will give you more vertical grow space, and since you are limited to 3 plants you will have the space to grow taller plants and up your yeild a bit. Then all you'll need is a 4'' booster fan for your vegg room$25. 3x two bulb 3ft florescent fixtures$25 each.and whatever pots/medium/pump you wil need depending on how you wish to grow them.Personaly I would stay cheap on the vegg plants and just use soil for the 1 mother you will need in vegg, then clone in rockwool starter cubes. For your flowering room you should get a 400watt Hps $150, DIY cooltube(thereare tutorials all over RIU and youtube,I made mine for $15). Then for ventilation you can get a stanley blower from Walmart $40 and modify the intake side to except a 4'' duct and run that to your DIY cooltube. Now we just need to pick up a grow system,I would do a DIY bubbler/hydrosystem which consists of one rubbermade tote $7, one fishtank air pump $15-20 at wallmart get the largest one they have with 2 outports, one pack of airtubing $2, two fishtank air stones $4 each, and three 4'' net pots from hydro store or internet. You will then have everything you need to make the same exact thing you would be getting from in Sunshades cabinet but with double the space with more flexibility and can be made for less than $500 Hope this helps you out man.

At $3750 you got to be out of your mind.Even if you add the parts that i left out you could still build it yourself for less than $800 and have twice the space. You would have to grow for like two years in that little thing before your investment would be returned .Most everything used in a grow room can be found and your local hardware store for a third of the price you would pay from a grow supply store. The bottom line is cost of cabinet vs yeild produced dosen't add up.

Hey bro; I like your enthusiasm & motivation towards getting some plants growing. I too am OCD and I spent 5G's on a growing cabinet, just to end up buying a whole bunch of new equipment and building in a room because I wanted more than what I could just grow in the cabinet. My official reasoning was that i'm not a closet grower, i'm a little big larger room grower lol. Just make sure that you don't have any higher aspirations than 3-4 plants before you make a mistake like I did and spend all the money on something i'm not even planning on using anymore.

to be completely honest... I'm no newb to growing nice strains. Just new to having to have a stealthy grow. I appreciate your input, but I definitely won't be spending that kind of money on a cabinet. I would just assume build a small closet in a room. Thanks though.

That's a fucking horrible cabinet for the price. There's not one decent fan in that system, all junk.

LMAO.... I have decided to take your advice grow1. It isn't as cheap as the way that you suggested, but I think this new idea will do. I want to get 2 of these http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/storage/cabinets/storage/steel-storage-cabinet-48x24x78-tan and then I will add all the ammenities I will need. I think the total cost with the cabinets, the lights, the fans, the aircleaner and all my bubbleponic equipment will be right around $1k.
Good find find brother. Those cabs are even a bit larger so thats great. When i posted that link to the ones a showed you that was the first one I found. Did'nt realy search around much, I was just giving you an example of how much cheaper it is to do it yourself and it wil be better than what you could buy.
