super slow growth

im new to growing and have 3 bag seed plants on 12/12 basically from seed there small still cotyledons on but have a pair of seraded leaves and first fans forming i dont have much space so i want to keep them small. im not super worried about huge yeilds but a little would be nice. so any way im aware that once you switch to 12/12 most energy goes into flowering but my plants (to small to sex) arent growing that well! there very leggy probably due to my light setup i just kinda threw together my lighting i have one 13 watt cfl producing 900 lumens a floro tube 420k and a 3 way halogen bulb thats 50/100/150 watts wich im geussing is on full power just havent. had time to get better.yea super weird setup but i was super excited to get growing so thats what i came up with . the grow space is very small maybe lik or 3feet wide. but any way i keep seeing t hese grow lpogs of big green seedlings after like 2 weeks. mine have been 12/12 for about 2 weeks so why so slow? just my crappy light or the 12/12? also i have no nut regiment sorry for running my mouth any advice would really appreciated

Never start a seedling on 12/12. I always do 24/0 for the first week then switch to 20/4. I use 3 26w CFL's. I also gives nutes around 1 week old. Hope this helps.

Try more lighting. There are 12347274 other factors but lighting is very important for plants. I grew with cfls in the past and I had super slow growth...mind you the temps were rediculasly high

you can do 12/12 from the start, but you need better lights...the halogen is not giving it the spectrum of light it needs at all...all its doing is throwing a shitton of heat at your seedling...which in turn is stunting its growth and causing it to basically sit there...you need more CFL's and higher wattage ones or you can kiss this seedling goodbye...get the highest wattage CFL's you can get or you'll just be wasting your time...and you wont get anything productive out of this plant...

12/12 from seed reduces yields significantly, but there are plenty of people doing it, your major issue is light, the amount and the spectrum...if you are going to do 12/12 from seed and are only going to be using CFL's get a mixture of 1:3 6500k:2700k bulbs, but like I said before, get the highest wattage ones you can find, the 23watt or 26watt ones or higher if you can find them.

well toss the halogen .. it wont help you at all ..toss a couple more cfl's in there if you can , keep your lights as close as possible .. thats probably the reason for the leggyness and slow growth

happy growin

Not enough lighting, ditch the halogen its useless. Get a standard budget 150w hps for about $70, cheap to run. Let them veg a little before 12/12 or you will end up with midget plants.

but some midgets are kinda cute ;)

with that light setup and 12/12 from seed, you are at most gonna score a gram of bud (if lucky)

the halogens, while having a fine spectrum are way too hot to use properly.

and the fluo´s are too small (need to be very close too, at most 2 inches away from the plant (taking care not to burn it)

id put the plant back in 24 hour light to veg it bit.

but, cheap and small,,, get some 4 23w cfls , preferably 6500k (2700k will do though and do better in flowering)

that should be enough for a small plant like that with limited space.

just get some 20N 20P 20K fertilizer or something close to that (easiest for a beginner, later you can learn more about ferts)
just use it very sparingly to begin with.

i just found some 20 watt 2700k and my rig right now only has 2 sockets for bulbs so there in and im working on another socket would three of these work? or should i go with a higher wattage?

higher wattage is always nice ,, the ones you have will be ok but try to find 6400k for veg ..

i just setup 4 23 watt cfl 5000k (closet the store had to 6500)and the bulbs are pretty close to the plants so i havr a small fan on them keeping it cool so hopefully growth imrpves !
