If you have a heavy clay soil and use an auger you will have glazed sides and bottoms such that the roots will never explore the native soil, only spin out in the pot you just made. Fracture the sides and bottom with a pick, screwdriver, garden fork.

for flowering:2-11-11 awesome blossoms & bud candy 1-5-4 overdrive at the end.

I'm gonna warn you one more time and then be done with it - DO NOT use a low N food at any time during the entire life cycle of your plants.

Ok!...whats a good brand for flowering??didnt buy those flowering nutes yet but i have the jacks classic 20-20-20 onboard.in the previous thread i know u said that 20-20-20 should work start to finish

after transplanting should i use a high P once?? then proceeed with a high N 1-2weeks later?

or just proceed with a high N right after transplant?

A good brand for flowering is any brand that retains leaves in a healthy, green condition until harvest. I know this concept is hard to accept for most, and, I see you are mentally caught up in the typical, misguided cannabis forum paradigm trap regarding plant nutrition. Happens to the best of us. :)

Peter's is fine or anything you find at Walmart. You can use a high P food at transplant if it makes you feel good. It's actually N that induces good root production. I gave you a link addressing this, post #73.

greener the plant in flowering means longer life cycle/bigger buds i guess..gonna forget the internet paradigm for now:lol:

Call them and find out what ratio of base-to-cal/nit you should be using. I'd also ignore their dosage and feed based on EC, make sure to measure your dosage based on weight, not volume.

I don't understand, they will give be different directions if I call them then they put on the label?

Go with 30-10-10 or 20-20-20. Forget anything for "bloom". As UB says cannabis needs high N. Also his best ratio = 3-1-2

What, you don't follow a chart? :bigjoint: Sorry, couldn't resist.

A plant is dynamic. If a grower needs to follow a chart, he's in big trouble.
 
I also returned the bluelab PPM meter to the store, after i found out that i can read plant is more accurate than meters ! LOL

Tio Ben, whats your favorite "superthrive" product for transplanting ?

alrighty im going to transplant without any shocking treatment solution, even slice the sides of rootball, it wont cause any damage, right ?

I'm sure you read Chalker-Scott's article on kelp concentrates too, but even she says that the extracts(of which I consider Superthrive one of) CAN help to root cuttings quicker but that using them throughout the rest of the plant's life is more or less worthless. Good post Uncle Ben, its awesome to see you active on here and posting.
