The most expensive thing people get conned into is batteries, but we arnt trying to go full on cabin in the woods style, we are trying to offset our power bill. A grid tie is the way to go hands down. Batteries are expensive, need replacing, and can catch fire. Not to mention bulky.

Here's 320 watts solar for 220, you'll have to buy a grid tie inverter, but those only run you a 400 bucks for a good one. Leaving a 2kw solar setup for
....

Under 2k. There's dozens of options out there. The companies selling these locally are charging massive markups to literally drive a few screws... shits already plug an play these days.
Pretty sure that panel won't produce more than 50 kwh per month that's 2 days of 2000w running 12/12.

Also you did see they charge $355 for shipping right?
Jesus dude there's like a dozen options for fuck sake. Msg them an talk about shipping when buying 10 panels, this is common sense to most adults. There's a fuckload of 100 watt panels for 100 bucks or less when buying 10 panels or more just let the OP do the work I'm sure he's a lot more capable than you are... you prolly cant go solar anyways bet your renting a apartment somewhere ballin out like a true og.

Haha your not even worth talking to you will never get it...and you clearly don't believe in what your saying because you don't have your own solar. I understand you don't want to be wrong so believe what you want.

Definitely correct on the statement I'll never get it... I will literally never understand some people. When it's so easy to Google pricing, I listed 3 places to check, Ebay, dhgate, and amazon. Early in this thread I said I'm currently looking into options such as led OR solar. Wtf more do you want from me? Until you have checked the pricing for yourself just screaming like a child is ridiculous.

I haven't even gotten into the tax credits for going solar, but that's a whole new topic and I dont want to bring math into a conversation where a Google search is a challenge.

A google search of the power needed for 2000w 12hrs a day is a 5000w solar system

And do I have to point out (clearly I do...) it's not free to run leds and this WHOLE conversation is about OFFSETTING the power bill. For fuck sake dude.
You said it's a better investment to buy solar for hps (solar that you have to diy) I say it's better to go led if you diy led it's less than $1 a watt so for like $1200 you could replace your 2000w and save 40% power. Not saying led is best for everyone or worth the power savings solar or wind power shouldn't even be in the conversation.

Solar is plus an play these days buddy. It's not DIY. Its screwing them to the roof.

It's like saying you need to have someone come out and hang your lights for you or else its diying. No dude. Just no.

there are several really good LED lights, but if you want to veg and flower, I recommend Amare Technologies. They make a CoB hybrid: the hybrid feature is a ring of select monos surrounding each CoB. These are on a separate o/o switch, which is perfect for vegging. Then, flip the other switch to also engage to CoBs. This will save you a lot on electric. They offer a 25% discount for RIU members too
