t5 in home depot same t5 's that are mentioned on this site

saw a small two foot two bulb t5 unit at home depot is this useful to grow is it same as mentioned here prob not because I bought two.

No! You want the high output T5s.

I know the ones at my home depot are not the same. My home depot has standard t5's. The ones people talk about are here are t5ho's. They use more wattage. Also you should get 6500k bulbs for growing plants which I doubt those are. If you can return them I would recommend it. I got some standard t5 bulbs from a friend before and they didn't work as well as the t5ho's at 6500k. Also make sure you get a good reflector that makes a huge difference.

Yeah, they are definately not the same. I also looked at the same T5's. They also have them at Lowes. They could be used for starting clones or sprouting from seed. But as far as veging or flowering it would take so many of those to actually get good enough output to grow a plant to full potential.

how much are the T5s at lowes? i've been getting the T8 setups from walmart for $10 ballast/reflector and $10 for 2 T8s...
