Hey everyone at RIU!
Sorry for not updating this I have been super busy with things and my girl here.
I chopped her and trimmed and hung her a few days ago. I left her in dry soil for a good 30-31 hours before I took her out to prune and chop.
She's been hanging upside down in the closet for 4 days now. As it's freezing here In MA, the heater adds a lot of humidity to the room so I've been checking on them daily for mold. So far so good. She needs another 3 days I'm guessing by the stems how they are still flexible.
I've failed drying buds in my past grows(cutting every green leaf that's supposed to dry and cover the calyxs to protect them) and they turned very dry, harsh and airy so I tried a more suggested method and cut off the fans and some small leaves and left the sugars on as you can tell. I don't care how long as gotta wait but I don't want them over dry. I'm going to leave the sugar leafs on and just trim it straight into a jar.
I have a feeling drying the right way like this will take longer and I expect as much. Usually by now they are dry and crispy but these are nice and dense and getting dry. I can't wait till I can start the cure .
I've also never gotten the cure down yet. I leave the buds in the jars in a drawer so in the dark and open em once a day for a minute or two than closebit back up. Every few days I try to gently stir it around a little to let what's on the bottom get some air but I loose a lot of hairs doing that. I don't like it. Also I usually in the first week-week and a half end up with that hay smell and if I'm lucky I can only get a little bit of dank odor back. Is my jars not being 100% full or partly full a reason or am I not burping it enough or what do you guys think? I as stated have a few days at least before I can trim it off the stems and straight into the jar. This is a rare strain especially for me. I was beyond fortunate to get a cutting so I've been trying to treat her with as much care and love as I possibly could and I want to bring out the best I can of it. Treat it with the respect it deserves. I'll more than likely never find a cutting again. If anyone has a better way or has a suggestion of something I could do different to get better results, I'd love to hear from you! I'm trying to improve the most I can so I can grow the best quality meds with what I have to work with. I am very eager to read long info about the subject. I browse on Google and read grow reports and information regarding strains, growing techs, what's best to do in a situation I've faced or could face I can think of etc.. I'm very enthusiastic about growing and legalization and everything in between regarding the #HEMP and #CANNABIS plant especially for a disabled poor person who has a hard time moving. So I read lots of random things from many different websites. I don't join many but I am glad I joined here at RIU

!
Helping each other should be a huge factor for why your part of the #CannabisCulture .
Here are some pics I took of my girl while I was trimming her and pics of them hanging for 4 days in darkness I took yesterday. The nugs look very crystally and shiny and she's covered in trichs. I LOVE it!

.
Enjoy the pics and I would love to hear any feedback or suggestions and or just what ya think.
My next grow will be my first ever attempt at an Autoflower strain. I'm not starting it till next month. It will probably be DNA's 60 Day Wonder but I'm also thinking of my Narco Purp bean I bought or the Kera Dwarf but I'm about 100% on germing a 60 Day Wonder bean. I wanted the regular Williams Wonder but when I was ordering I could not find it anywhere at the time. I also have some SkullRyder and "a little kushy" female auto beans to try as well as a bunch of photoperiod feminized beans and some regulars like a high thc/cbd strain called Serendipity made by a breeder no longer in the business and some Afghani's. I'm very excited to have a couple Pakistan Valley fem seeds which are 100% indica to try as well.
OK have a great day all and I'll put up the pics in my next reply.
