I have just recently decided to grow my first plant. I have been reading up on how to's and what not to do's. I would really appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. I'm going to attempt to grow some bag seed that I have had for a while. Its pretty good stuff. I'm going to grow out of my closet. I am gooing to buy a cfl for the light, since I've heard their the thing to use....Any suggestions to what kind of soil and fertalizer to use?

What Are The Dimensions Of The Closet? And How Many Plants Do You Want To Do? If You Do One And End Up With A Male You'll Have No Bud To Smoke.

Get a soil that has no nutes. Get some Miracle Grow All Purpose for veg and Miracle Grow Bloom Booster for flowering.

well everyone has their own thing. first time, bagseed, simple way would be to get some organic miracle-gro....and before anyone else has somethin' smart to say, i know this works cuz i've done it...potting soil and mix it with some regular lawn soil and perlite. miracle gro has quite a bit of nutes so if u went with it straight then they'd burn up at a young age. tons of folks say FoxFarm but if you don't live near a large city with a hydroponics shop or good nursery, OR if u don't wanna order it online then you're screwed in that respect. u can check out my cfl grow and follow it. it's worked for me. holler redrabbit

The closet is a rectangle probably about 6-7 feet across, and about 2-2 1/2 ft. I want to do one, but i also want to have bud...50/50 chance doesnt sound like its worth the risk...what should i do?

you will trash the roots of the remaining females if u use one pot - you have enuf room so splurge on 3 or 4 pots.

Can I put them in one pot and pull the males later, or do i need more than one pot
You'll get some people that say "NOOOO! DON'T PUT EM IN THE SAME POT!!"... but I've done that before and everything was fine. Just don't let em stay in teh same little pot for too long. Also, when you remove the male (if you have any males), don't pull it out roots and all. Just cut the stalk at soil level.
