why do you have to leave tap water sitting out for 24 hours? i didnt think it did anything but my clones were drooping and then started to perk back up after a couple hours

I dont and never have its a waste of time. People will disagree though and start talking about dechlorination bla bla bla....18 years of tap water use and no probs to report.

the rule i ussually use is never give ur plants water that u wouldnt drink. the reason they say to leave it sit is so it gets to room temp. if the water is to cold or to warm its not good for your plants

letting it sit out for 24 hours uncovered i sposed to let all the chlorine n shit evaporate.

i do it, but thats just cuz i have more than one gallon at a time, and let them sit.

i'd rather be safe than end with a bad result. but thats just me.

could have been your temps. some ppl have more chlorine and flouride in thier water than others. If I dont let it sit for a day or so, the new growth will get very teeeny tiny yellowing tips.

drooping is usually from overwatering.
i just took them off the mother today though and ive had another clone in water for over week and its fine but it didnt droop like the ones today. i have them in water mixed with root stimulator. is this the correct way to make clones?

tap water is usually too hot or too cold.... could shock your plant plus it contains chlorine the 24hr sitting period evaporates chlorin and puts the temp at room temp( a comfortable temp for growing)

Dude, straight up these are your babies you invest alot of time and money into your plants. Why not give them the best, chlorine is definitly bad for your plants. Why don't you buy distilled water? You won't need to worry about chlorine and it has a ph level of 6.0

yes its so bad for your plants that in 18 years of tap water usage I have had no problems at all. Also I drink it and I seem to be fine aswell....how strange.
