TDSTestr UltraBasic is showing " Or "

my TDSTestr UltraBasic is showing a TDS reading of " Or " for my 1 rez... it wuz at 990 TDS and 7.1 PH, added some fresh water and PH down, PH at 5.8 and TDS is Or ? Anyone know what that means? it still shows propper readings on the other rez, the tester is only a few months old..

I'm confused? You have 2 res and one gets a true correct reading while the other res gives a Or reading>?

LMAO.... Same as me.....confusion....... i can take the meter and get normal readings off the second Aeroponic system Rez, and even the Cloner and Main Fresh Water Rez's! (the fresh water reading is my Go By number...) It even Calibrates Perfectly, then still says Or....

It's an Oakton, and only info i can find say the sencors, yet it reads normal everyware else! I just don't get it, if i had a major TDS reading first i'd think i over did it, but it wuz lowish....

That Rez is only 2 weeks old, The 2nd Rez is a 5 week old batch, and the rez has only been added to, never changed, those lady's eat to fast!

So, i'll just spark another Pipe load and hope someone has had the prob before...... i'm getting friggin stoned!

Not gonna worry to much till tomorow, i Know the rez is around 1100 TDS now from prior exsperience with my additives, but why won't the TDS meter read it rite? i'll change the Rez water out tommorw if i can't fiure it out....

Will your TDS meter read over a 1000? Might want to check the make and see if it can read above a certain limit.

ya, it can, ranges 0 - 1990,
not to mention the 2nd Aero system Rez is at 1550, higher then the problem Rez, even tap water reads right at 230......

Well, i changed out the Rez, got normal #'s now, but i would still like to know why it wuz reading that, will i have this prob again?...........

Will get some good readings but not on the res i want... one side note... i too have been adding water to the res from a dehumidifier in the same room... i was told that's like using RO water and is one of the best sources of water u can use but that may just be heresay/ grow urban legend...

idk if this makes any difference but for what it's worth im pretty sure that makes it where it's impossible that it's over 1990... also my plants would be fried if it was
