No, I was referring to the fact that the Tea Party is no longer the Ron Paul crowd as it originated. Ron Paul isn't even mentioned in the article. Bachmann and Perry are. The point of the article is since the Tea Party was hi-jacked by Religious White Bush supporters the perception of the Tea Party has plummeted.

Very much so, basically bachman created the tea party caucus in a blatant steam stealing move, this combined with the tea party position on illegal immigration has allowed the movement to be dismissed as a bunch of religious fanatics, I am simply tired of hearing broad generalizations that dismiss the biggest political push of the masses in several decades as something evil. This is why we need to transcend parties and stick to reducing federal oversight of state issues, like health care, mmj, etc. and wuite spending all of our money smashing and then rebuilding foreign countries.

Tea party people don't think they are taking hostages. Scared politicians call them that to try and diminish the tea party's message. Did they pull a gun on anyone? No they stood in the way of the government machine to try and prevent the destruction of America's future but in the end the machine rolled right over them.

I don't think it's the Bush republicans who are trying to claim the tea party it's more the religious right. Hell look at Bachman she's talking about all kinds of crazy shit. She supports a small government
in regards to spending but supports a government that tries to regulate morality. If she gets the nomination I guess I'll vote for the libertarian candidate because honestly I think we'd be fucked either way.

I did produce facts. Ironically you overlooked some of them in the very post you quoted when you chimed in on this argument. Obama has NOT added more debt than all the presidents from Washington through Reagan, that is absolute nonsense. Prove it! The Bush administration funded its war on terror by dipping into our Social Security. Now the democrats want to pay that debt back and the teabaggers won't have it! I know you have probably never had a job, or paid into SS, so this probably doesn't upset you much.
As far as "taxing the rich" goes, taxes were MUCH higher for EVERYONE under Nixon, Reagan and BOTH Bushes than they are presently with Obama. And THAT is common knowledge! Google it if you don't believe me!
