Tell me about bone and blood meal

not always needed to let soil "cool', depends on additions
raw manure is hot, other things, add them and the soil must be left to compost for a while
bone meal won't make your soil hot if added in reasonable amounts, like the 1-2 tbsp per gallon
i'm not a fan of epsom salts, though i guess they can be effective
dolomite has magnesium, a kind of garden lime, very safe stuff
Is lime is the same? I haven't read what it does or what nutes it has in it, I just bought it in case I needed in in a pinch. I don't have any dolomite. Never even seen it before. Dang, lime's got all kinds of good stuff. 21% calcium, calcium carbonate 52%, mg and mg carbonate 35%. It says it's for raising pH? Why would you want to do that?

lime is different from dolomite, but it's a confusing difference
they often get crossed in posts
soils can be too acid, dolomite or lime "sweeten" the soil, balance the ph
and provide calcium, dolomite is the one that has magnesium

and the epsom has like 385 mg of magnesium. That's a bunch. I wonder how you would measure something that has that much magnesium in it. Maybe mag is a sage nute to be working with.
