Hey guys Anybody got any good idea's for a 40 to 50 gallon res.. I have 2 4x4 ebb n flow tables. I am doing drain to waste as of now. I use to go to tractor supply and buy 40 gallon horse watering tubs for res's for 30 a piece.. But I lived in the country then and now in the city and I can find these. I am trying to spend 30 a piece and the hydro store wants 100 a pop.. give me some ideas

hang around barton springs and wait for hippie drumming and the smell, then go ask if you can sit in or play hacky sack and you're in :P

If that doesn't work at least you'll have a nice cool swim.

McCoys Building Supply... they sell green poly stock tanks... cheaper than the tractor supply rubbermaid ones..
$36 for 40 gallons.. very sturdy.
they keep a few on the shelf, but store most of them in the lumber yard.

I don't know who buys those "tuff stuff" tanks from BI, but, those are weak and over priced. I used one for a llittle while... If I filled it more than 3/4 of the way it would bow, bad. I use it to mix potting soil now... it can handle that job..:-P

The black rubbermaid tubs are a little more than the "econo" tanks, but more sturdy. I've seen a 70g and 100g poly econo tank taking recirculating water, nearly full, for almost two years now.. still holding up.

I reinforce the drain plug before using...It probably would hold up, but, eh, it's worth a little extra effort.

A buddy of mine wants to put some of my produce in the cowboy cup 2014.
Anyone know? Is it legit?

He's an old and good friend, but, I had never heard of it before..
