Thanks. I owe much to RIU. Years ago I learned everything from it's members. I signed back-up to give back what I have learned.

Another quick update while I remember:

Strawberry Blue:

THC Bomb:

They're at 11" now, I'm thinkin I'll be flippin the light cycle inside a week probably.
I've not done any actual thinning as of yet, but I've been making a point of tucking away the most obviously obtrusive sun leaves every time I water, cheers to nnth and dude once again

Consider using some gentle strings in a way that would gently pull each branch outward and equally distant from the rest. The plant will love it and it will open up the middle for light as well as cut a few inches off your vertical height, depending on how much you pull them out and down. My mothers that were in flower maintained an perfectly even, short canopy for months using that and a few other techniques. I have some pictures of the branches in some of the older pages of my journal below. You can see how they branch out like a strange minora. It will get even light to each bud sight and keep them all the same height so the plant wont focus growth to the tallest branch. The tallest branch, the plant always assumes should be the new 'main cola'. I aim to have every bud the same instead. You may want different.

Update: Day 4 of flowering.

I flipped the this cycle on Friday, due to the fact that they finally hit their 1ft mark, and that they preflowers popping up everywhere.
Not a lot of change this week, other than the preflowers coming in. Growth seems to be more outward than upward lately, which is fine by me, as long as they're healthy. Which they certainly seen to be, no problems to report :)

THC Bomb is taking the lead, with about 10 growth sites that have made it to the canopy, as opposed to 7 on the SB. But that's fine, I'm not playing favourites :p

Happy Plants. Nice. Remember their gonna stretch a bit now so keep doing more LST and spread those canopies. :peace:

I'm picking up what your puttin down, but my closet can't take too much more horizontal growth :( You can't really tell from the pictures (because the door is open), but they're already damn near as wide as the closet. But hey, there's still a bit more room, so I'll do what I can do, for sure.

Update time: Day 10 of flowering.
I know I've been pretty irregular with my updates, but from here on out, Tuesday nights will be my regular update spot (Kiwi time). With exceptions no doubt.

Girls are stretchin out a bit, with plenty of white hairs sprouting, and a bit of something foreign goin on at growth points. Plenty enough to keep me excited :D

Gah, picture upload's not workin for me - I'll fill you all in later tonight or tomorrow.

One query (which would have been much better asked with pictures): On the Bomb, I've noticed that 2 fairly young (and low) leaves have developed with no pigment at all. As in, 2 or three prongs of the leaves are white. Gave me a bit of a fright, but actually looks quite cool :p Any clues as to the cause of this? If you don't get what I mean, you will when I put some pictures up.

Cheers guys,

Day 10 of flowering update:

Here's SB (did a bit tying down to open up the canopy a bit. Not sure how well you can see this in the picture):

Bomb:

Here's some of the hairs that the SB's got goin on. It's a similar story over at the bomb. Hopefully you can see them ok, right now i'm constrained to the camera on my phone

And finally, an example of the semi-albino leaves on the bomb. Very interested in any wisdom anyone can spread on this.

are those light colored ones kind of limp?
They seem perfectly healthy on the green parts, the white parts are very soft and feel quite fragile, but certainly don't look at risk of dying off or anything. I mean, being young leaves, they aren't the sturdiest things, but they seem normal (on the green). As I said, there are only 2 of them so far, so I'm not too worried at this stage.

Update: day 17 of flowering:

S/B:
f17a.jpg f17a1.jpg

And THC Bomb:
f17b.jpg f17b1.jpg

I had originally planned on the bomb being my yeilder, but the SB is definitely taking the lead on bud formation at this stage, so we'll see how that plays out. Not that either one is gonna be a massive yeilder under my flouro's but hey, I'm fine with that. Absolutely loving this stage of my first grow, it's really getting exciting.
On a side note, I was doing a little tying down on the bomb yesterday, and accidentally snapped a reasonably significant branch  I've trimmed it back and am just hoping that it'll be able to put a bit more effort into other bud sites as a result. That's my first real fuck up so far (i think), was bound to happen sooner or later. Won't be happening again any time soon though, i guarantee you that.

i split the top of the main stem a bit when tying down my lemony pheno. i just relieved the pressure a bit and let it go. she's alright now. always really frustrating though.

The first pic of the THC Bomb looks like the branch to the farthest left could be lightly re-positioned to provide deep light to the bud sites underneath. I'm diggin' the looks of the S/B. Consider a veteran impressed.
