bluetick, I had meant to say sorry to hear about your plants. I can imagine that big lamp must create a lot of heat. When I grew with a 600wattHPS I was surprised just how hot that bulb got!

Welp, turned out my seeds were the problem. I germed several more and they all did the same thing: barely sprouted and then died after weeks of no growth. Prolly about 15 seeds wouldn't even germ. So I got a bagseed from a friend, sprouted in a day and now growing nicely on week 1 of 12/12 :)

Here's hoping its a female and that I can get some successful clones from her

You are only growing 1 plant? You should do a larger grow...at least 6 plants and rogue out the males...

hey every one :)
im still a bit of a newb at this. im currently finnishing my first grow:) 2 diesel ryders and i am about to start my afghan kush after that.


but i also have more room to play with now so im also interested in this 12/12cmethod, i wouldnt mind trying this but what would be the best indica strains for this? i like the look of train wreck, l.s.d and cheese but im not sure

I like this idea 12/12 from clone or seed thing. I have read through most of the pages but haven't seen much info on yields. What kind of weight are you guys pullin? What do you guys think about taking seeds or clones outdoor after normal harvest time, so they would go straight into flower? Nice club!

Ah thanks CV. Was a human error rather than a product error. The room has an a/c on a timer as well which goes off 1.5 hours after the light goes off.

Where I was an idiot was when I clicked the timer on the light to 'outlet on, timer off' because of limited time left before lights out and forgot to switch the damn thing back to 'timer on'. So in other words the light went all night with no a/c. Just plain stupidity. Oh well, at least it was a 12/12 from seed grow and only on day 46 as opposed to day 100 or so under a normal grow. :evil::evil::evil::evil:

man that is looking real nice. you are in for a real treat if u havent tried the durban yet... The high lasts for hours, its truly a great strain in my books. Not sure if you are aware or not but there is a strain of durban poison thats more suited for indoors called urban poison

yeah I've heard of urban poison, I might purchase some beans for my next grow. This clone was given to me from a friend so I didn't have much of a choice on strain lol. He had whiteberry too but I'm glad he gave me this one, I like the way it grows and it's doing well under the high temps of my light

Here are my 6 ladies 33 days old 12/12 from seed. :weed:

Probably a stupid question but can anyone even guess at my final dry weight? This is only my second grow & first 12/12 from seed.

looking great so far :) Hard to guess the final weight though, yield varies alot depending on strain and growing conditions, esp. when growing 12/12 from seed.

yo, i started my 12/12 from seed crop about 2-3 weeks ago. i was wondering about about how long does it take to show sex, and then off to flowering?? Speaking approximate, of course.:hump:

it all depends on the strain, some plants will show preflowers on their first or second set of true leaves, others won't show until they are mature enough. I'd say about 3 weeks normally

thanks for the advice dude. It looks like i am just starting to see the very earliest sign of preflowers, and only at almost 3 weeks too. Diden`t realize they would show so soon. It`s my first 12/12 from seed grow and all 30 of my crop are looking really nice. I have them in 3 gal pot, and a few in 5 gal buckets. I been reading this thread throughly before i started this grow, informing myself, and intrigued, yet hesitant due to so much negative response i`ve gotten about this method. But i got to say i am so glad i started this 12/12 from seed.

Heres mine again, Northern Lights, 12/12 from seed of course, now at exactly 9 weeks from germination today. 350watts CFL's and a little bit of extra sunshine on good days!
