my boy is 19,, he was a huge bernie fan,, i know he and most of his friends ended up not voting for anyone when Bernie did not get the nod,,, sadly,, the younger folks loved him
Why is 'genuine' sad?

We are the sad ones accepting the lying, cheating and cronyism.

Your kid had it right.

Sanders2020!

Just try and stop us @UncleBuck.

Just going through AB's list:

Kamala Harris -- great run as Attorney General in CA. First term CA senator replacing Boxer next year. Not much background information on social or economic issues. As CA's AG, refused to defend anti gay marriage initiative, grudgingly went through a backlog of investigations on gun holders that should not have them by CA law, pressed consumer advocate lawsuits -- improper mortgage foreclosures and faux university to name a few, mixed reviews from advocates against police brutality. Good approval ratings for her job as AG.

Corey Booker -- Mayor of Newark for 6 years, NY Senator since 2013. Seems to be almost ADD during his mayoral term. Stayed in public housing during that time. Fix the potholes type of mayor. Written a book about his ideas. Well known fund raiser on Wall Street and has publicly decried legal actions against them during the 2012 election. Says all the right things about gay marriage, right to choose, in favor of raising taxes on the rich and increasing government spending on welfare and infrastructure programs. Has gotten rich on speaker fees and some strange startup that Zuckerberg gave him. Says all the right things but reminds me of Hillary Clinton in his almost shady financial gains.

This interview of Booker give a more positive view on him

Julian Castro: Former Mayor of San Antonio Texas, Current HUD administrator. Seems good but not much available on him. Obama thought highly enough of him to find a spot for him in his administration. Spoke at DNC in 2012. Seems to be a successful insider in the Democratic party but I can find no good reason why.

John Hickenlooper: Governor of Colorado. Seems to be a bit off. Strong supporter for Clinton in 2016. I'll let the Colorado RIU posters fill this one in.

With Booker I don't see the problem with him making money as long as he gives something back to the People.

Seems to get shit done and he's of the darker skin tone so the GOP could shit their old age diapers again for 8 years (or until they die, hopefully the latter comes long before the former).

We'll see. His Wall Street connections sends up a red flag for me. I'd prefer somebody who is known for opposing WS rather than his connections to them. But it's early. Let's see what he does in the Senate.

That's not relevant to who I want as president or even somebody in government. Wall Street is a vampire squid on the face of the world. It should be treated with disdain and treated like a prisoner on probation with regulators in every office. Speaker fees from Wall Street isn't going to fly with the more liberal wing such as Bernie's supporters either. Zuckerberg is a freak too. With friends like that why should we trust him?

What is so good about Booker that we should overlook his careless choices in partners?
