Just encouraging them to proceed and make this the last allowed comp run by members. Next and all future ones should be run by RIU or a sponsoring company. I don't like being controlled by a host with nothing to lose. I would prefer a company who can't get away with behaving badly without a hit to the bottom line.
Last time FC was host, he was absentee for a significant chunk of the competition, he asked us to debate and come to our own ruling, then he ignored it and went with a wishy washy rule implementation. He unfairly allowed some people to get away with violations and kicked others, when I called it a "clusterfuck" in another thread he kicked me too. I violated no rules, ...
Better to have a dictator who has something to lose, over one who has nothing to lose and doesn't give a shit.
Don't worry, I don't plant to participate in this comp or the thread, just wanted to give RIU my opinion.

Well im glad im not the only rookie goin up against the dawg. One of us has to roast the hot dawgGreat job managing that mess so far, @FrozenChozen - thanks for your efforts. This competition is one of the coolest things about RIU, IMO.
The rest of you sluts better watch out, I'm bringing my 1st-year rookie nüber-powers to this shit-show. After dropping out of the last one I had regrets, like I'm pretty sure I can beat @The Dawg. Keep doing what you're doing, boss, don't change a thing.

The longest amount of time I was "absentee" for round six was 8 days, and I broke my arm in more than a dozen places... I asked for everyone's OPINION about the issue at hand, not judgment. Remember when you signed up and agreed that the host has final say? I allowed some members a bit of leniency, and asked that certain things were more punctual, I even made multiple warnings about punctuality, whining, and negativity before asking people to go. I asked you to leave on that one because you were being confrontational and rude, not just to me, but to other members. You were given a fair shot just like everyone else, no one messed that up but you. And yes you did violate the rules, you were asked to stop making negative and confrontational remarks.
Just to toot my own horn for a sec,
if you notice, I obviously did something right in the eyes of everyone else but you, otherwise I wouldn't be hosting AGAIN. I'm not here to please everyone, and I don't have much at stake here. I have met less than 5 members in "the real world", and have no reason or want to "will" anyone to a higher finishing rank. If you don't like the way I handle this competition, you have two choices: kindly leave, or win it.

yes, you did a good job getting sponsors on board. That is what everyone wants, prizes. The other half of the equation is where you fell flat. Total disorganization, and unpredictable decision making.
I want the host to be the same as a good business man, predictable and accountable. You were neither, so you can't blame me for bitching about it.
As you could tell, I didn't want to be part of that competition any further after the chaos began, and I don't want to be part of this one. I will wait for a more professional atmosphere to participate again.
I hope for the sake of the participants that you don't have the same level of "clusterfuck" as last time.
Also, isn't it sort of fucked up that you say they voted for you because they wanted you as host again, aka wanted better prizes? I thought this was a grow competition? I thought the point was that the better plant would win?
Maybe if this is a grow competition it should be designed to make the best plant win, instead of making it a social game of popularity.
I said my word, let it be and I can stay out of these threads. Keep arguing and I will have to keep replying and pointing out more of the truth of what happened.

I've been trying to maintain a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude, but I can't stop this: If I ever win, I fully intend to discriminate against you in an unfair manner, Nomo. Just a fair warning. I never liked your attitude, and if I get the chance, I will deny you every time. I almost forgot about your shitty self, but then you came back posting the exact same stuff that you were saying months ago. And brought it all back full circle.
This latest incident just proves to me that you are a toxic personality, and the group would be better off without any of your 'contributions.' Go get some counseling, idk, figure yourself out, do something to help you interact with people in some sort of positive fashion. Because clearly the world does not need you, we've been getting along fine without your negativity. Even if you are some sort of Einstein, it doesn't even matter because of your off-putting mannerisms.

Any thoughts? I'm trying to stick to quick finishers, of course. I don't have a shit-ton of seeds, but I have a few.

- Rare Dankness: Scott's OG
- Samsara: Green Love Potion
- Delicious: Cheese Candy
- Barney's Farm: Blue Cheese
- Elemental: Honey Bananas
Regs:
- Afghani #1 type Freebie from Herbie's.
- Random Bagseed, because that's sort of fun.
The other seeds I have are too precious to me, or long-flowering sativa doms.

Last round went really well with narry a bit of drama. Really the 6th comp went super smooth once you left. The issue is you, not frozenchosen, not the cup, but squarely on you.
This was supposed to be a somewhat informal contest between online buddies. Not a hard core competition like the cannabis cup. I really wish people would stop getting their panties in a twist about it and just let us have some fun....
