There is no open market you jackass... The government has now decreed that everyone must purchase or have health insurance. This is a closed forced market where all the companies can overcharge because you have no choice but to buy the product.

Why would I take market advice from an out of work pot grower?
fail..in the gold gategory my first choice was a policy for $347 and the second choice was $529..guess who got the business?

I don't even know how to feel, we are being screwed from every direction. I am so frustrated.
I hate to hear that for you canndo. You've mentioned your situation on here and you are the kind of people I was hoping the ACA would help. My brother is in a similar situation.

No, you have a patent on that...

If the government wanted competition why wont it remove the law against allowing coverage to be offered from out of state? Seems a simple low cost thing to do...

Oh wait, it isnt about competition....

If it was about competition the government wouldnt be forcing companies to provide cookie cutter policies designed by some policy wonk who has little to no idea about medicine, just political issues....

Werent these the same evil companies that would kill their patients for a nickel before? Wasnt that your argument? If so, why wouldnt they overcharge if they have a captive market?? They know that the customers will be forced to do business with them at the point of a gun. What incentive is there to cut costs now???

You are such a simple little peon. You believe the politicians lies and are so easily manipulated. You are exactly what the Democratic party wants....

Well, if they're anything like the gold plans I saw, the benefits, deductibles, copays and such were varied at different cost levels. So, I imagine you went with the one that made sense for the monthly investment. It's EXTREMELY unlikely you were looking at two IDENTICAL plans from two different providers, with that kind of discrepancy in cost.

because then they would all move to the state with the loosest regulations and cherry pick the healthiest folks.

actually my policy was more liberal when compared apples to apples; everything is taken into consideration..i crunch all the numbers and when assigning proper value to varied policies the less expensive was clearly the winner..
