The Christian and the Heathen

Anyone else in a relationship with someone that has opposing viewpoints on politics and/or religion. My girlfriend is a Christian Republican and I am for the most part an Anarchist, with deep resentment for religion. However we have a very healthy relationship and respect eachothers opinions and boundaries. I have never been in a relationship with someone who's views were so opposite my own and I am surprised by both of our abilities to handle such major issues with a grain of salt. Just curious if there are other people out there in similar situations or who were in similar situations in the past. I would love to hear some stories.

My girlfriend is a 100% southern babtist, my religion invovles the cannabis gods we have been dating for almost 3 years. Everything is great except she still wont have sex with me. She wont have premarital sex(got something to do with jesus i hope)

Luckily my christian lady is enough of a hypocrit to forget about that whole premarital business. Best sex I've ever had. Lucky, lucky me.

Me and my wife are polar opposites about everything. Religion, politics, fuckin everything. Sex is never dull though. Been married for 4 years now and i gotta say that having somebody that is your opposite for a partner makes things interesting...

How did you manager to wait 3 years Gordon, that's commitment man, I don't know if I would have the patience for that one. kinda suprised there are only two others who have responded to this one. I think that it keeps me a bit more open to opposing views, it's tough to write off the viewpoints of others when someone so close and respected maintains opposing views.
