Brother I Run 1 Plant In A Hydro Setup In A Cab Thats 21x36x65 With A 175 Watt Led.Depending On Your Grow Style Will Dictate How Many Plants You Can Grow In Your Tent.Now With That Said Remeber That Your BS 240 Actual Wattage Is About 165.I Would Start Out With And see If You Are Happy With The Results

You're right about wattage and I have used it once in soil whit decent yield. This is my first hydro and already looking pretty good! I just wonder if a HPS 250 or 400 would make buds harder??

Kewl The I Would Run 1 Plant.Your Going To Be Amazed At The Growth Rate Compared To Soil.Brother I Have No Experince With BS But I Have Seen Some Good Grows With Them And I Would Do More Research On Light Heights And Dont Be In A Rush To Blame the Light.Look At My Sally For Instance She Didnt Yield Anything Close to What She Should Have And Her Buds Were Alittle On The Airy Side But Most Of Them Were Tight.I Blamed The Genetics Cause If You Look At MaryAnn She Has The Denses Buds I Have Growen To Date And Shes Under My AF-100@175 Watts.

Penny(Delicious Seed BlueWidow) Week3 Day3 Of Veg.Man This Is The Earlist I Have To Flush Cause Of High Ppms.It Seems Penny Is Very Nute Sensitive I Noticed At The Beginning Of My Week 3 Ppm Bump(550 Ppm) That She Wasnt Taking To Them Very Well So I Took out A Gallon Of Soluition And Added Back A Gallon Of R/0 Water Only.When I Check On Her Tonight I Discovered That her Ppms Had Jumped And She Didnt Drink Any Solution.So Im Currently Flushing Her Out And I Will Start Her Back With 400 Ppm Veg Solution :peace:

Right On Brother.Now Let Me Share With You Some Of My Thoughts On Why My Sally Didnt Finish Nor Yeilded Like She Should Have.1 Was The Genetics Of Course And The 2nd Could Have Been Operator Error.Most Ppl Will Blame The Tool And This Is Very Common However If Your Tool Is Top Shelf Quailty Then Its Up To The Operator To Learn How To Use Said Tool.Now My Hid Thinking Wants To Kick In And Thats Not Good For Leds.Trying To Teach An Old Dawg New Tricks Sometimes Requires A Kick In The Nuts.In Reviewing My Light Heights Theirs Was About 2 Weeks That I Had My Light Height At 14 Inches Above My Canopy And I Finished Her Off At 16.I Belive This Is Too Close And I Actually Stunted My Plant.In Hid We Grow Using Par And Lumens Via Kelvin Lighting And In Leds We Use Wavelength And Umols Via Nanometers.thats Why I Went Out And Bought This Kewl Meter To Use In My Next Led Grow

Good to know. I read somewhere on here that light heights should be around 24-30" for veg and anywhere from 18-24" during bloom?? Sound right??

Those Hights Sound About Right For My 250 Watt Led With 80 Degree Lens.Im Runing My 175 Watter With No Lenes 10 Inches Above My Canopy.Also Light Heights Depens On The Quality Of Your Panel And Type Of Lenes.

Like The Dawgie Dawg said, depends on the panel.

Some companies recommend 18-24" like Area 51, whereas other companies put the light much closer, like Plantphotonics or Haight SS...

Penny Dinafem BlueWidow Week4 Day2 Of Veg.The Pics Below Are A Fine Example Of Your pH Pen Being Out Of Calibration Due To Lack Of Cleaning.I Calibrate My pH Pen After Each Grow.Make A Mental Note To Self To Clean the pH Probe Also.Now Im Thinking That The Leaf Curl Was Due To Impropper pH And Not from The Nutes Being Too Strong.So I Mixxed Up A Batch Of 500 Ppm Veg Soulition And Did Another Res Change Tonight.I Did 3 Checks(Re-Calibrate) Of My pH Pen Before Cleaning And I Got 3 Different Readings And I Did 3 After Cleaning And I Got 3 Of The Same Readings Cool Right?Check This Shit Out When I Went To My Goddess MaryAnn To Adjust Her pH She Was On The Money From Last Nights Reading WTF Is This About?just When You Think You Have Things Figured Out These Nasty Azz Biotchs Throws You A CurveBall :shock:
