The Debate Thread

The Hiding Appeaser looked like the dumbass last night in the Rebates. Kept insisting that Mitt was proposing $7 Trillion in tax cuts and Mitt, the big tall dog, stopped him in his tracks 3 times.

He even told the moderator that he has kids so he is used to being told things Over and Over as if that, alone, will convince him. Once his smarry, Ivory Tower approach was blown, Mitt walked all over him. I have never seen a sitting President come to a debate so un-prepared.

Obama tried to throw off that lie about Mitt taking tax credits for off-shoring jobs.

Mitt looked straight in his face and said, "I've been in business all these years and I don't know what you are talking about."

What tax credits? What are you saying, Obama? No answer. At one point Obama asked the moderator to change the subject. So weak, so wimpy, so lost.

People say he is a good speaker, Hell no. Mitt can talk. Barry can only read speeches.
I suggest you do some fact checking before you post. I watch the debate last night to hear Romneys plan..I walked away still not knowing. My vote still goes to Obama. Can't vote for something I know nothing about.

  • Obama's biggest problem right now is that he has a record. And his golf record is better than his record of being president.

Actually, he's supposedly a lousy golfer too so he can't seem to do anything well accept "community organize" which takes as much skill as a 5 year old......history will not be kind to Obama- the "GREAT" divider!

Can someone answer one question. In detail please tell why I should vote for Romney without using the word Obama
- because you are tired of being lied to
- because you may like the man but the amateurs and dilettantes have to go
- because 1 term is the common sense chance, we can't afford to a do-over
- because you don't like to see us Appeasing fascist again, as if we never learned
- because you think throwing borrowed good money after wasted bad money is stupid
- because you want a bit more realism in foreign policy
- because we have a system that can try again with a different approach
- because we throw bums out.

I believe what O said as he took the presidency in 2008 to be the truth of the matter and necessary for our country. Having watched what O has done is in direct contrast and without reason or explanation. Considering this contrast between words and actions I have to ask those that plan to vote for O, what exactly are you voting for? Is it what he is saying, has done or is going to do?

ass handed how ???? Obama revealed that Romney has a plan with ZERO details.
And Obama ever had any details to any of his plans? Almost no presidential candidate does.

Here's a clue for ya: the president is a not a dictator. He has to work with Congress to get his plans through, and that is where the details will be worked out and voted on. So asking for details from one man who cannot write his own legislation is futile.

Sorry guy Obama had a plan you might not like it but at least he had one. Romney has yet to reveal any details on how he is going to do anything.

Money where your virtual mouth is? I've never seen any details from Obama either. When he finally does supply details, they get ignored by both sides in Congress. See his dismal performances in creating budgets for example.

The lack of new threads on the debate by liberals on RIU is quite telling. They know Obama got his ass handed to him, and now they are trying to spin like mad.
Yep, if the debate went Obama's way, there would be loads of more threads.

Ive heard them all call Romney dumb, idiot, retard, stupid........Looks like Obama just got whooped by a stupid, idiot, retard. LOL!

I'm sorry you sound sort of Romney like...Do you have any details provided by Romney that tells why people should vote for him???? You used the word transparency when Romney has not been transparent at all about his plan...
Ok, I get it. You'll first have to take those blinders off if you truly want understanding. May I suggest a compare and contrast thought process instead of an ignorant point and accuse bigotry ...

I hope most Americans realized that O provided even less details on his "plan". That O has yet to explain his plan of the past four years, it's obvious failure and how it now differs. I really doubt any reasonable American is buying this bull shit ...

Is requiring the ability to provide a budget as required under law acceptable. When is O or the Senate going to get around to that? Is that not the start of any "plan" in REALITY?

I still see a lot of Pro Obama people here today and last night, lol, if you watched the debate you would realize that our economy is in the shitter and that he has no workable plan for the next four years other than to take more money in taxes and continue to give it away.

I understand you guys dont want to vote for Romney, I get it, but how do you go to the voting booth and pull the lever for this guy???

I actually started to answer the question. Had two paragraphs typed out and then I realized who was asking and the futility of such an action. Romney and Obama explained why you should vote for them, if you missed it, I'm sure it's available online. Listen to Rush today if you want the Conservative take and any one of a thousand MSM sources if you want the administration's angle.

again check you facts before posting it could save you from looking like "you don't know what in the fuck you talking about".

The federal budget doesn’t get enacted the way other laws do. The process starts with the president submitting his budget request to Congress early in the year. That voluminous document is partly a presidential wish list, but it also gives Congress a framework.

"The ‘PresBud,’ as it is called, forms the basis of the fiscal year budget that starts the following October," according to this post from the nonpartisan Taxpayers for Common Sense.

In Congress, the House and Senate have budget committees tasked with creating concurrent budget resolutions, using the president’s budget as a guide. As Taxpayers for Common Sense wrote, "The legislation they draft is for Congressional use only: it doesn't go to the President, it isn't law, it just helps Congress keep its budgetary ducks in a row."

So there is the first problem with Romney’s statement. The president doesn’t "pass" a budget. That’s Congress’ job.

In Obama’s case, he has submitted his budget request each year he has been in office. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/apr/06/mitt-romney/romney-says-obama-failed-pass-budget/

via your unsupported assumptions. Is that not the tactic of the left?

Requiring ID to vote is racist, yet Canada and Venezuela require such ...
You know what they say about assuming. I have Zero problems showing an ID to vote..again show me how I used bigotry.

Hey Sparky, you didn't even know what tax rate you paid when you worked three years ago and made a fool of yourself pretending you did, now you're asking for specifics on deductions! LMAO
