It's true. This is a major failure of the left any way you cut it. It is unbelievable that Republicans are as popular as they are.

It's not a knee jerk reaction when to say that racism and misogyny is a big reason why Republicans control the government today. There is very good information to indicate this is so. Obama and Hillary Clinton unsettled those with racist and misogynist leanings -- not overt racists or sexists-- just lean that way. About 55% of white people fall into one or both brackets. Which makes them the largest voting block in the US. The most wealthy, too.

The very effective propaganda machine that includes FOX, right wing radio and a social media campaign promotes the right wing agenda. Some of which is tailored to appeal to the left, especially those susceptible to conspiracy theories or simply naive. We see that coming from tty, pad and sky but there are others.

This bit about "both the same" is taken straight from Goebbels propaganda playbook. If we look at what people do instead of what they say it becomes clear that Democrats and Republicans are not anywhere near alike.. A favorite ploy of propagandists is to defend venal acts and say the opposition is at fault. Does that sound familiar?

When the Democratic Party's willingness to cooperate to do things that hurt their rank and file becomes obvious, it's up to We the People to hold them accountable.

You are still playing their game; the one where the Republicans are always bad no matter what and the Democrats are always good, no matter what.

Politics is not football; it's not about the teams, it's about how well we and our needs are being represented.

If the Democrats are doing a shit job of representing me, I'm going to hold them accountable.
