heres the tent that has the cycle that will be seeded by the modified macberry moonshine reversal. Final week of veg, they flip monday. The reversal plants are looking good, and think I saw the first male part forming on 2 of them, so it looks like we are right on track.

Blackberry moonshine bx1 x modified macberry moonshine seedling army is doing great. Seeing sex coming in on these and will begin culling males / pulling clones and spreading these out to flower. Got a lot of skunk smells on the stem rubs so far. Loving how these are looking so far.

Debating the name Haole Moonshine for these, as these were my last creation in Hawaii.

Hey DFG, done a lot of digging and I'm wondering for the bees knees of mold resistance is dragons stash the go-to followed by Mac Dragon? Neptune has the dragon stash f3 and I'm wondering if that's what I should be targeting or is there another better version? Second year northeast US grower and I'm looking for the classic early finishing, high mold resistance.

Also, slightly less related but how do feel the climates differ in Hawaii vs Oregon in testing a strains hardiness? Is Oregon fog and rain a different animal then Hawaii's constant high humidity?

Belated best wishes to the family - thanks

Both of those lines are highly mold and mildew resistant, with dank terps and easy to grow so Id say both are solid choices.

I would personally say oregons climate is easier than Hawaii's. The constant pest and fungal pressure in hawaii is next level. Things that were resistant in oregon didnt cut the mustard everytime in hawaii, and it took more seeds to weed thru to find the very best phenos in each line.

I will post up some photos shortly, but Ive flipped the full tent now that will be seeded, day 1 was the 19th. I suspect I over-vegged these, as this tent is now...well full... lol. Everythings looking pretty good, and it looks like the reversals are on track, they are week 2 of flower now and all 3 have a male part showing now along with their pistils, so its looking like for now anyway, we are well on track. With reversals you never know though....could make tons of balls but no pollen, or I may have to manually open each ball, or a slew of other issues, so never really know till we have seeds in hand.

I honestly am leaning either way on this one...part of me almost wants the reversal to fail just to have some nice new flower back on the mainland lol. Been buying from the dispensary. The other part of me really wants to make these seeds. So it will be interesting to see how it unfolds lol.

the blackberry moonshine bx1 x modified macberry moonshine tent is all sexed now, got a few auraz from compound and the rest are all the bms x mmm. I am thinking Im going to name this one Haole Moonshine. Haven't 110% decided, but pretty sure.

6 weeks or so now from seed, still vegging 18/6 the luxx led is at 50% now.

week 3 - on the 3 plants I am reversing of the modified macberry moonshine. obvious signs of male parts are forming and looking like the 3 sprays of STS did their job nicely. Hopefully they will produce some nice pollen!

Well, as much of a pain in the ass as it is to do in tents and in trap houses, it's part of the gig. One tent got its deep cleaning today, all the plants came out, tent got scrubbed and disinfected. While I had the plants out, I did my inspections, got some notes on who's standing out, general observations, did some deleafing, got a few more clones pulled, and then sprayed todays IPM regiment of grandevo sprayed. There is some really nice stem rubs in this bunch of haole moonshines. The main standouts were a very skunky gal, and one that was some loud tangerine lemon type smells, and one that sour licorice. Got my eye on a few already, but honestly Im pretty happy with this tent full of girls, between the genetics and the LEDS, Im not sure, but everything is stacking squat and thick, and just node after node.

@Dragonsflamegenetics I'd be down for some of the Haole Moonshine!!!!!! This cross has really peaked my interest. I wish I could find some of the "old school" that I smoked while I was stationed at Schofield Barracks back in the mid 80's but one could only dream, LOL
I feel ya when you talk about the pests and fungal problems in Hawaii. I have to deal with PM issues every damn year because I have to grow in the back yard, and it's literally a swamp, the ground never dries out, and it's humid as hell back there, reminds me of some of the summer days on the island. Still looking for a stable of breeds that can handle it.
Got a few plants this year that aren't too bad, and a few that are horrible. Probably gonna have to grab some of your stock for next years run since you dealt with tropic climates when you lived there, and bred there.
Any suggestions on what I should try for next year???

Charlies stank ass (if you can find any packs left) is a killer resistant line, mac dragon bx1, dragons stash f3, zamal dreams, all would be solid choices. cheers bud! its definitely a challenge when nature has other plans

I got a side eye "Haole!" from a crusty old dude at a grocery store on Kauai. I felt proud to be recognized lol!

DFG what can we expect from the Mac Dragon BX1? Looks real nice is it an evolution of the other MDs?

shes more broad leaf and more kush leaning, with higher potency. she can be more leafy then the s1 / f2s which lean more "cookie type"

Haole moonshine tent is coming along nicely. Got everything deleafed underneath, but all natural structures. Got a few really nice stem rubs coming on, cant wait to get these flipped and start smelling flowers and seeing what this line holds! Clones off them have mostly all rooted, a few more still in the cloner, but looking like they have roots formed, so once I can see the end in site for the reversing / pollen producing plants - this tent will be flipped.

And It looks like the reversals are doing their thing as Im seeing pollen flying now, as well as seeing the first signs of pollination on the plants to be seeded...
