The fishing thread ( not about fish fertilizer)

There has been a thing with me for as long as I have been fishing. Almost a ritual of sorts. But one that is not my choice.

When I buy a new rod. The 1st time I fish with it I skunk on that rod. It never fails. So yesterday I went out and tried to catch some bass with the new rod and of course I skunk on it.

It also seems to be normal for the second time I go out to smash some fish on that rod.

Today was day 2.

Nice 3 lb bass off of a bed. He was pretty pissed off and aggressive. Love those fish lmao.

I figured I would post this here for anyone who is interested in a free online bass tournament.

Should be fun. If we can get a couple of folks from this thread entered we can really have a good time messing with each other through out lmao.

Of course I'm already entered.

Yet people complain all the time about just letting water go to the ocean to support the salmon and delta.
it sucks man. Our rivers are already a put and take system for the chinook. But if the hatcheries don’t get the numbers they need and then add in the mortality rates of the released during our consistent dry years it’s all bad. I want to talk about some very crazy political parts of this but I won’t.
Allz I’ll say is maybe we don’t need as many almonds in this country and maybe rice could be cut back even more around here and grown elsewhere? Try telling that to the farmers though :-( but we need an all of the above approach. Just like with our out of control wildfires now. Not just one thing is gonna fix our need to adapt to our new climate.

/end rant.

Most don’t actually grow the product
Subsidies to not grow specific crops pays better sans the actual labor
