My first bubble was very much a learning experience. First run i did not dry it enough and it stuck to the glass. But it became better
Really surprised how much hard work this was. Maybe it was just cause im still sick and got frustrated doing it "alone". Did 4 washes and then i quit cause i was to tired and stoned.

BRAVO! That is quite a beautiful first experience Hydro. It is hard work no matter in what shape you are. On the other hand it keeps you in shape.
So what was the strain? Smell? Share it all.........

Uh Frenchy i wish i could. My nose is clogged. I have no smell what so ever. But how it usually smells it is not good actually. Maybe its the kush. Recommended 6months cure. That might help. I hope the press will bring out a new scent.
It is Pure Kush. Very strong and narcotic feel. I did not weigh my flowers but i think it was 60g. I ended up with 5.8gram hash Like i said could have washed more but.. Very exited bout the quality!
The best wash was the second, i think i had the perfect water/bud/ice ratio. Thx for sharing your technique, might have come out all messed up if i did not have your advise to follow.

Here's a funny story about bubble bags. I remember when my friend, first got some bubble bags. And he made hash from some outdoor product. It ended up looking like this. now it looked fine, and smoked okay. Only problem with it was, it would turn into poop (more or less) after you took it out of the freezer, and it sat in any type of container for a while... I kept telling my friend this. But he would say "I don't think you know what your talking about, I've dried this stuff for week straight". I said well no matter how long you are drying the product, it is still to moist. which is causing it to decompose at room temperature. I said, if you leave some of it out of the freezer for a while you can see it for yourself.

My friend seemed not to want to listen. So, I corrected the problem, by microwaving the bubble hash, as soon as I got it from him... I have to say it's very interesting to see bigger pieces of pressed bubble hash, inflate like a ballon 3 or 4 times their size, (most likely to explode if you micro it to much I'm guessing) but it did cleanse the decomposition problem

yeah I never put mine in the freezer after running it. I usually just let it sit in its pyrex over night even though I usually pull out as much moisture as I can before I press it, and even after I press it I just let it sit in its container in a dark cabinet that's room temp.

Hey frenchy just ran another batch but it just won't press for the life of me it's from my 73 micron bag. Any reason why this would happen should I maybe add a bit of my 45 in there to make it more sticky. It smells amazing and the taste is to die for its made from blackwater and critical+ trim and popcorn buds.

Also me and my buddy are having this debate he thinks the best hash comes from pre mature sativa plants and I think the best hash comes from fully mature sativa strains what's your take on pre mature to mature for making hash??

I remember bubble man, had a cutting, that he made bubble hash from, at about 4 weeks flowering, I think he said. The hash did win more then one contest. Personally though, I've never seen a plant, that made better hash when it was half way done, then when it was finished. But I definitely prefer "over ripe" bud myself, so maybe it's just individual taste

I was wondering what you all think about an issue I have been debating with myself for the last week or so. Harvest time is upon us, but the weather here in Eastern Oregon has been rainy and overcast for quite a while. Several of my Kush/Indica varieties are nearing ripeness. They have not had substantial growth over the last couple of weeks, especially the lowers. I was wondering what the general consensus was concerning ripeness and making the best hash. I know I should not take them early, but I would like to let them have a few more days to another week or so considering that the weather is turning nice again. Should I take the tops and let the lowers have a chance to gain some size, or leave it alone even if that means many of the trichomes may begin to become overripe? Perhaps I am over thinking the issue and I should let nature take its course, but I am planning to turn a substantial portion of this years crop into Cannoli's. After making a few small batches of some well pressed "Frechy Cannoli Hash" and being blown away by the quality, I am dedicated to making enough to last me until this time next year! Happy Harvests everyone!!!

Have you tried pressing with heat ? what method are you using to press

When the Trichomes are all amber its done, most people harvest before they all turn amber. Once the Trichomes have reached full maturity you have to harvest them or they start to degrade

really, its all about you if you ask me, weather you like your soaring high, amphetamine hyper high, more then your sedative couch lock stoned! theres a super thread about this type this in search (Harvesting And Curing[h=1]Everyone Should Know About Trichomes)[/h] n you should find the answer your looking for!! pistyls and trichomes will let you know the maturaty

ALL amber? That would be intensely overripe. I left a few plants to go to that point because I didn't have the time to crop them, most sorry mistake I made in a long time. It was like placebo-weed. Looked killer. Tasted great. Did nothing. I wanted to take my own nuts and repeatedly slam them in the sliding door going 'stupid stupid stupid, why why why?'. Don't leave 'em THAT long mate. The amber trichs are the ones ALREADY degraded, BTW.
