The French Cannoli` Hash Thread

Did the people from afgany and Himalayas take or maybe believe that a smoker should take a tolerance break at some point. From experience after a bit of a break the smoking experience feels different. When was your tolerance break or do you feel as though no tolerance break is needed because your stocked with potent hashish that will at all times get you medicated. With all the hashish you have ever tried has there been one that perhaps you had a psychedelic experience about life that maybe could share to us? Sorry for the off topic questions it's just that you have already answered any question I would have had. You give good details with your process and a 'BIG CLAP' for TC (&others who may have helped) on that video and asking questions during it. I'm just patiently waiting for the next video, it might bring up a question. Till then THANKYOU MUCHOS

Frenchy,
After reading through this delightful thread and watching TC's wonderful video documentation of you making hash, I had the most WONDERFUL time giving it all a shot. The experience of properly making the hash, and then taking it out in the sun to press was just amazing, thank you for the inspiration!

The hash was made per your instructions in the video from dried but not frozen MK Ultra trim.
1st I tried just a small amount of hash and hand pressed in the sun..

It was working out so well, I decided to try about 10 grams using the boiling water in wine bottle press, and then hand it worked in the sun. Just amazing experience~!

MK Ultra is such an amazing strain to make Hash with. You choose very well for your first shot. All the best

Ok frenchy I've been makin a little bit each day...taking my time w the whole process and really "feeling" the trichomes and the transformation...each batch is getting better and better...I'm wanting to perfect the technique and one question I've ran across is when pressing and forming do u "fold" the mass....like flatten and fold and roll...flatten and fold and roll...or do u try and keep what in the center in the center thruout the entire process...do u understand what I'm askin?

I do not think that the Afghanis and local Himalayans believe in tolerance break, never seen or heard of it. They have been medicating for hundreds of thousand of years and it is just a part of their culture and who they are, a state of mind and a way of life. I have seen quite a few "senior citizens" of both sex who would leave you in the dust after a few hours of mountains life and/or a "shillom" session.
Life changing experiences, well when you travel that is what you are looking for and if you are in tune that is what you are experiencing. Like I say it is a state of mind and since we are creating our reality through choice, the experiences of the present are the changes that will make you in the future.
It is not what you do it is how you do it and how much love there is in it

I begin by flattening and pressing flat the mass of trichs til its a solid mass on my thumb...then I peel it off and ball it up and flatten again but it doesnt stick to my thumb anymore so I just begin pressing flat...folding and balling up...pressing flat..folding and balling up...by doing this I'm taking the "outside" and making it the inside over and over...is this what I'm supposed to b doing or one time once I formed the ball I just firmly rolled btween my two palms keeping an outter "shell" and never folding it...I heard u say somthing abt locking in smell within the mass and flavor....so that's what brought all this up.

Thanks Frenchy. The hash certainly does smell strongly of the flowers which is a sweet, perfumey, earthy, yet fruity smell. I look forward to continuing my hash journey :)

"Quick Washed isopropyl"...quick rinsed (20 seconds) w 91% alcohol. ..strained thru coffee filter onto plate and I let it air dry evaporate for 48 hours. ..it had left an amber colored hard/sticky film that could be balled up and molded after scraped up...once I began to work w it it turned this shiny dark color...there seems to b a thousand diff methods online....what I sifted to hand press I sifted lightly to get quality trichomes to press. ..didnt really know what to do with the left over trim and I could see resin on it so searched and found the "qwiso" method...u can google it or you tube it...like w anything else on the web u gotta sift thru whats good and whats garbage....seems like a good option for me to b able to use whats left after sifting for hand press.

Just got done watching your workshop Frenchy and I am truly impressed sir, between you and Matt I am just itching to get some bags again. I don't know why I ever switched to BHO in the first place, something different at the time I guess. Also used to work with the qwiso method just had no idea that's what it was called, calls for some super nice refined hash.

Many traditional hash exporting countries are exporting hydraulic pressed kief-not hand rolled and activated cannolies. Is there a significant difference between the taste of the two?

A Few years ago I made a Hash Ball for Ed when I went down to edit my book I thought you guys would get a kick out of this
The point is NOT all resin's are created equal :)

I have mentioned before the unusual quality of Space Queen kief, it is actually some of the purest resin I have worked with. It has uber large heads that make it easy to capture and it has a special tackiness that allows it to stick to itself. Most kief has to be pressed under extreme pressure to make hash but with our special lady all ya have to do is touch a dry bud and then rub your fingers together.
I first noticed this when I was trimming the plant and shards of resin piled up on my scissors forcing me to clean them every few minutes and collecting a huge pile of scissor goo that we always enjoy smoking the next day after it dries.
The second time I noticed this was shucking the seeds from Space Queen, the resin piled up on my hands much more so than any other strain I work with
When we harvested Jills Hydro plant abit early do to a slight mildew outbreak I had ear marked the plant for butter or Tincture but when I was processing the shake the resin was sticking to everything so I ran her through Bubblemans 3 screen kief box,

This is a much larger ball I made off camera.
It smells like Cherry hashish!!!

Pretty cool stuff huh?
