The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Same here...she looks at me and I know pretty much what she wants at that moment. Its spooky. I think she's in tune with me too.

I got into a heated exchange with a buddy last week. He said something that pissed me off. I looked over at him...before I could say anything...she was moving towards him...not in "pet me" kinda way. She knew I was pissed...

The Ugly....These plants are troopers...considering what Ive done to them early on....they're still coming along.

Look at the leaves...yellow and crispy in spots. Some have fallen off. The plants would have been really thick/bushy had I not burned them.

This is probably the last round of pics during veg....Im going to go ahead and sex these starting over the weekend.

The clones are doing fine under the dome...misting twice per day and giving them about 10-15 minutes per day with dome removed. I feel that the stem is really secure in the rockwool cubes so hopefully thats a sign that they've began to root.

After these soil/hydro plants sex/flower....I'll work with the clones....Im sure I'll do much better the next go round. I know the tempermant of these particular plants alot better now.

I will try my hand at hydro next grow but I have to tell you that with my current grow in soil, they are practically growing themselves! Soooooo easy and stress free this grow compared to my bagseed grow last time. Shows you what a difference good genetics make. They grew a good 4" over the last 3 days and that's without me adding any nutes at all, other than Superthrive. I just read all these horror stories about hydro and how easy it is to burn your ladies.

My experiences are the other way around. My bagseed grow went as easy as pie. Just turned out male and hermie...so I scrapped them.

But in this grow I do know where I went wrong....and was able to work though it.

And I have to admit...the plant with barely anything wrong is the one in the bubble bucket. Mind you....I dont have a ec/tds meter. I just chang the bucket/nutes about every 10 days. I do try to keep the ph in the proper range. I just add plain water to the bucket as the plant eats. Interested to see how the bucket plant turns out.

What up Bloodshot?

I have not done the grow with water yet myself.
I would think your going to need atleast a lil bit of np and k to keep it alive.

Have you looked at ish like kelp or other natural sources of nutes?

so you just add water to your bucket when it needs it during the ten day change period and then at ten days do a complete change with full nute strength.

Wassup with ya, Mid....Didnt see your post there. Im using the nutes....just no meter to adjust after I fill the res. Just adding water so the salts dont get too bad.

I really wanna see if I can make it to/thru bud doing this...if so....I'll save my $$ and not buy a tds/ec meter.

I did my previous hydro the same way.

I have had some fuck ups simlar to you with heat and shit I put in a 120cfm bathroom fan and a tower osalting fan in my closet and the plants respoded amazinly. More air flow helps alot. my closet is actually kinda windy. but even still Looks good! I am about two weeks behind you in my grow I will follow this one for sure!

how the clones lookin? I have seen clippings taken that were quite a bit larger then those, anyone know the pros/cons of taking larger clippings vs smaller ones to clone with.(assuming they both come from vegging plants)

I'll get a pic up for you....edges of the leaves are starting to yellow a bit. Ive been told thats a good sign that the clones are rooting...using the stored nutes in the leaves. And they feel secure in the rockwool. give me a minute.

My mom has minie me's/
We all need clones.

They are so easy to grow once you know what you are doing.
Now I am sure this changes from strain and levels of expierence.
That is why we are all here though.

I love growing something that I can smoke.
It is a good thing I do not have a bunch of land somewhere, I wold not be able to resist the urge.

I wanna buy an Island and grow pot on it.

Hey bloodshot.
Those clones need less light, more air and I could almost say less moisture.

I hate for it to seem like I am picking on you or critiqueing (sp?)
your work.
You have been cool with me bro.
In my book your are cool as hell.

Try what I said at least try to head in those directions in small increments.
If anything I have learned is that you should do nothing drastic.
Everything should be done gradually atleast until they get established.

Growfaq was not working a min ago or I would post the link to cloning by just using water.

I use a plastic maxwell house coffee jug with plastic lid.
I fill the jug with water up to the top.
I cut holes in the top to hold the clones.

I take the cuttings and place them in the holes in the coffee jug.
No dome.
I mist them with water (shake vigoursly to get o2 in the mix) 1-3 times a day depending on if the look they are trying to wilt or not.

Usuall within in 10ds I have roots then I go straigt to soaked soil.
The soil drys and the clones take off.
I add water about 4-5 ds later. Spray leaves if necessary till they get tough looking. (sturdy)

No hormones nothing but water.
Sidenote: change water every 2-3 ds.
The roots should not see any light.
A o2 pump and air stone would speed this up even more.
Maybe 5-7 ds with roots.

I have successfully cloned my mom 13 times now with this method.

Sometimes we make things harder than they need to be.
