what do u mean u r not serious u r not making the game. because if u do i think u should give half of the money and almost all of the credit to hermes become buisiness partners
 
It is an excellent idea, although trying to get playstion or microsoft (might as well forget about nintendo) to bring out a game about cultivation would be extremely hard work. IMO for a game like this to make money you need to lease the idea to a very large video games company.
 
yeah skunkushybrid has a really idea to talk to a bigger company. but not many companies would make a weed game cause it could mean bad reputation for the company from parents and people who are against weed.

on a developmental note...
i havent done anything on the game since the appearance of a certain person appearing to steal the idea... which made me lazy, if this threat has evaporated than i will continue with the game
 
yeah dude i thought u were serious about taking the game but it is nice to kno that u werent. but it should be alot of hard work for u to make the game hermes. just make a post trying to find people that could help u.
 
yeah dude we are all relaxed now but that would have been such a shittty thing of u to do if u had done that actually, that would have been just like snitching on anyone or your best freind
 
yeah, it wont be too hard... i mean the big downside is that i can only program in visual basic. also means that the game might not be universally playable across all systems and it isnt the most efficent coding. but once ive got a VB version done, i can try and convert it to Java as ive done a bit of java programming in the past.

the hard part is just going to be getting good gameplay, a good balance of fun and education. might create a section on my website to accomodate some beta testers or something :P will keep ya'll posted

I did this in an effort to highlight the fact that when you get a good idea, it's best to keep it to yourself.
 
yeah that is a good idea, next time u get a good idea keep it to yourself until it is in production so that people like skuky was faking to be doesnt take your idea. if the game happens thought it should be tight.
 
yeah maybe... but i prefer to share,, and im not going to change just to protect myself from losing money on an idea. it was an idea for the greater good of everyone, not one to make money so i have no hassles in sharing this idea freely with everyone.

You need to start thinking bigger. Fuck Java, and go for the big guys. Formulate your idea on paper, maye change the name to The Cultivation Game. You map the rules, gameplay, right down to simple graphics. If you do everything right you will never actually need to make the game yourself. You sell the idea to someone that can do a much better job.

Games companies are always pushing the boundaries, if you can cut off people's heads to rack up points, what's wrong with growing a little weed for money? You need to sell the idea... could make you a mint. You could maybe do the java thing as a demo for when you get that meeting with the big guys.
 
ok, on your advice i started pencilling down some info onto paper. including gameplay and rules and so forth.

if i can make some money to buy some better grow equipment, i guess i cant complain :P
 
yeah and the better the story of the game and the graphics of the game are and the more fun it seems the more it will appeal to people
 
Fuck yeah man get rockstar games to produce it. man that would be the best ps3 game in hisory. with expansions simislar to the sims concept you can add grow different plants like tobacco, shrooms cactii etc.
DO it DO it NOW!
 
ok, ive got some serious development plans going on here :P its growing bigger every 5 minutes i put into it. the sky is the limit, and im probably going to take up the advice and target it to somebody who has a bit more potential in design. really want to get some decent graphics involved which i wouldnt be able to do.
