..I guess no one has anything growing in their yards. Dude, cannabis is a weed. You're telling me that weeds can't grow in compacted centuries-old dirt? Give me a break. For the record kiddies, quit trying to be smarter than mother nature. She has proven herself in the worst conditions with no added nutrients and absolutely no potting soil, just plain ol' dirt. Back in the day you would find these wonderful weeds on the side of roads growing vigorously amongst the shittiest of substrates.
Edit: I have no problems growing with plain old dirt and neither do the hippies. Water = Hydrogen and Oxygen... no oxygen to the roots?
there is a huge difference between a plant in the ground and a plant inside under 160watts of fluorescent light. I'll agree plants grow great outside in the ground no arguing that. do you think plants need a substrate that has aeration? it's a proven horticultural fact that you're not supposed to use soil in pots by itself. I'm not the first person to come up with that lol.

Seeds were planted 15 days ago!! and I am not saying this guy cant grow weed like this. I am saying that if you actually take the time to give you $65 dollar seeds the right stuff (Bright light, good food, proper growing medium and proper atmospheric conditions) that you will end up with a far superior product with a far better yield. I did not want to be insulted and called a dumb fuck. I was civil. This whole post started by hippie lover here saying all you need is some dirt and a fluorescent light. True if you want to get a product that does not live up to it's full potential. It is true that weed was grow this way for a longtime. Detroit also made cars that got 10 miles per gallon and computers took up an entire room. Now I hop in my 30 MPG car and argue with people on my laptop while siting at the coffee shop. Things change and technology improves.

im with melowerx, have been since i found this thread....... WEED grows wild all over the fucking place, but if you want quality marijuana, you have to WORK FOR IT.
plants are in MY soil. 1/3 peat dug from bog, 1/3 perlite 1/3 vermiculite, add wormcastings, guano and other poop things.....
first pic: little bud shot, 3 weeks flowering(betty).
second pic: betty, or stonus maximus. veged for 1 month, then flowered. the budshot is from this plant.
third pic: my 100% organic nutrient regeme.

Wow Corbat that's the good shit there. Poop water and more poop and some dead fish. Hell ya. I just use the botanicare and the liquid karma cuz they are easy to get and they smell good considering they are poop soup.

Ok keep em coming we'll see. it took 5 days for the seeds to pop because I just planted them instead of popping them in a paper towel. The proof is in the pudding lets just see what we end up with shall we. Oh and you don't really need to be such an ass I am not trying to be a dick to you just have a good spirited debate. They did pop in 12 hrs. I'm not lying about anything and your plants do look like shit for 2 weeks. I hope you people do keep saying my grow sucks because at the end of the grow mine will be better. I gurantee a dry yield of 4-5 ounces. I'll put it on scale and tag it for all you also. Then we will see who has better yield for cheaper prices and smoother bud.

Its easy to take pics of a set up.... easy to take pics of progress etc.
your throwing out a lot of emotion for this grow, and it doesn't sound like positive emotions..... isn't that what hippies are all about?? lol...... I am called a dirty hippie all the time and really love it.....
I am calm and peaceful for the most part, and don't typically throw insults at people in such incendiary fashions....

personally i think this guy is full of shit but jus to clarify that the said method does work
with a few tweaks...
i am on my first grow of Barneys blue cheese
4 of which r on 12/12 (i had 8 but sumthing really really weird happend to them yesterday, pix and info is all in my journal)
and i hav 2 still in veg with 3 clones.
i am using a 600w hps in my flower room and fluro in the veg room, i dont kno what kind!
i feed em nothing but tap water and a little canna flores every otha feed
i dont check ph or temps..
i am now in almost 3rd week of 12/12 and i admit things r moving alittle slowly but thats about the only complaint....
i still think u r chattin bubbles tho!!
the only thing u r growin is ur pubes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This is my entry the pics are only 2 days after my last post and I have new growth and my roots grew like 4" in 2 days. The red squiggly thing on the bottom of the basket is a dead root from a previous grow that I did not pull out.
