They sell the basic of basic but everything you need except soil, they sell nutrients I've seen on the net for £20 odd for £10, I done a good bit of readin' on the LED panels lastnite, don't know if I want one now, I'm just usin' a reptile light for the lightin' nothin' special Think I'm gonna stick to my original plan and wait until my 1st plant's grown and the money I save with not havin' to buy weed is goin' on a UFO light, think I'm gonna fork out the £130 for the good one, in the meantime I'm gettin' a red spectrum CFL, you can buy the bulbs cheap and they work in any light connection. Don't know about the HPS lights I know their supposed to be the best but I can't chance a fire in the house I'm an eejit and don't trust the way I'd set it up so CFL's are the next step before LED.

What ports are you on about dude I'm a bit slow I'm stuck between larne and portrush/portstewart, can't tell which one you mean haha I should have the ak's ready for around me birthday or christmas, nice present for myself either way

well i bit the bullet and soaked the plants, i did not put 20 litres through though or put them under the tap, i just got a big bucket of tap water and let it stand overnight, then i flushed about 4 litres through each plant, the pts i was using were not really big enough i dont think (8 inch tall), so i then took the plants out of the little pots and put them in some new large pots that i bought, i had stones in the bottom so i removed them. i also bought a big bag of perlite(lol!) , mixed that with potting soil and compost so i had a nice loose mix. the plants are in there new pots now and they then got a flush of 1 litre of de ionised water which had a half dose of the new miracle grow. so i will see how i get on now.
i was looking at the ingredients on my old neut and it was something like 4-3-6 and the miracle grow is 24-16-?. cant be aresd going up to look at box for last number. but the stuff i was using must have been a bit short of some of the ingredients.
they are now in there new pots and to be honest i dont think they were badly sick or anything but im glad i did what i did before anything bad happened. from now on i will use the deionised water which has a high ph just to counter the low acidic the soil had. ill let you all know tomorrow how they are getting on.
also i am thinking about getting a couple of the leds for my next grow, did you say you were going to try one for the veg because i might get on easwell.
hope everything is ok with yours anyway, my bitch sprouted another 1.5 inch since yesterday so shes still growing but the other 2 are not showing any signs of sex.stunted growth maybe due to acid soil.

None that I know of to be honest dude your best bet is ebay or a gardening centre.

the soil ph kits you can get in b and q , the water testing kits you will get in any half descent pet shop. the ph plus and ph down kits you will also find in any good petshop, i just bought some water test kit in a pet shop today.
yes this thread is cool just for people in the roundabout area who can advise you on buying stuff, temp probs and general growing tips.

I couldn't have told you that to save my life haha I'm a bit useless at lookin for things like that I never really thought it mattered as long as the plants grew healthy and you used the right soil mix.

Happy days as long as nothin major was wrong with them, just when you said the roots were comming back up freaked me out a bit so the only thing I could think of was to flush whatever it is out of the soil that was makin' them run.

Was gonna get an LED panel but I'm not gonna bother now from the rest of the readin' I done on them, gonna wait it out and buy a UFO led light instead and a 250w red spectrum CFL for flowering. CFL red spectrum seems to be the best flowerer bar the HPS lights and 100w is meant to be good so I dare say 250w will definitly do the job, the UFO lights are meant to be better than all the lights, check out the video on youtube about them they compared 3 lights with tomato plants, CFL, HPS, LED and the LED blew them away but the average LED is shite the UFO's are meant to be the best.

heres a few pics of my girls, the other one showed its sex today so the one at the back right and the one at the front are both females, the other one is growing but it seems to be waiting until it shows its sex, i cant see its balls or its hairs. well all seems to be ok after yesterday anyway.
i dont know if to put them all back into veg for another couple of weeks or if to just flower them now, they are all over 2 foot tall now so im not sure, what do you think.
hopefully things will be all good from now in.

Personally I'd prefer the CFL from ebay, your lookin' at the same one as I am haha If your willing to spend the £100 though then buy a UFO led light off ebay instead apparently their the best of the best, better than even HPS but I got that from a video where they compared CFL, HPS and LED all in a row and the UFO led beat them all, at least 100w is recommended by other growers.

LED panels are ok for vegging but there is only meant to be 2 or 3 LEDs worth buying for weed, the UFO being one and the others costing a fortune, I was gonna buy the £35 LED panel on ebay but was advised not to.

Here's a few pics I've taken on my phone over the past few weeks of the plant, the 2 autoflowers with their first set of true leaves and the nutrients I'm using for the flowering stage, it's just normal tomato plant food it was getting during veg.

ohh my those are coming along great, and thats just with cfl`s, nice one. it looks like i may be getting a 150w hps bulb set up with all the kit for the flowering stage, i have some stuff i dont need and a bloke is going to swap me for his bulb set up. i think some people said that the videos are a bit of un truth, you never know until you try urself i suppose. i know the hps are supposed to be ok though but like you i was also into those red cfl`s on ebay.
so do you think i should go back to veg or just continue to flower now, as always any advise very much appreciated.

Plants will flower regardless of blue or red spectrum, growers use cfl because of heat issues, hps will give you more bang for your buck,
Led and cfl are ok for vegging but will not give you the power to get nice fat buds.
Try and get the 250w bulb and ballast, many ballasts now run both bulbs and by using this kit although might cost a bit more to buy and run than other bulbs but your grow will be finished quicker.
I'd also be careful using tomato feed for the vegging stage as it normally has a higher P and K value.
I'm using 3 x 23w warm white for my veg and clone room and seams to be doing great.
I did think of using cfl for the whole of my grow but unfortantly cfl won't cut the mustard

and got 2 very small plants i just see how they hold up through winter
so i grew 8 all in not counting the 2 small plants i have
and been smoking it for weeks now
so going dry them out just cut them up 20 mins ago
