Wilco...
Grow indoors at first and then introduce them to the outdoors..

Make sure it's feminized or a clone..

That's all I know.. Lol.. I did grow outside last year and learnt a good bit from it...
You want shelter from the wind but fully exposed to the sun.
Good soil is a must...
Any help much apricated

Alright lads, Pic 3 is my Cheese and pic 4 is my Lemon amnesia both on day 6 of 12/12. 1, 2 and 5 are of the same flower power Auto. Theres some amount of differance in growth in the cheese in a week. Buds are looking nice on the FP too, but id say the 12/12 is gonna lower my yield. just wish i would finish already...lol...any one any guess on how long left on it

Nice one harrekin....how much trim did you have to use????
No clue man, not all that much tho, Iv only got the small 1L bags. If anyone is making hash themselves for the first time or whatever, run your trim twice, you will double (ish) your yield. I got 1.1g first time and 0.9 the second time.

dont chop it early jingle, no matter how long the wait. youll only enjoy it more when its finished. did you not pick up a jewelry magnifying glass, they are ideal to get a good view of the trichromes.

Cheers for the Rep Lou. Ye i think i am going to wait till at least the 26th and check them then. I was messing around with my camera last night and if i put it on the super macro and load it on to the comp i can zoom in and see the trichs very clearly and they are all just a bit cloudy, no sign of amber at all so gonna give them at least another 3 weeks.

Honestly Lu, you and the other guys have really helped me loads on this grow. Its my first that seem to going good.

2 of mine got the chop today, the white berry and one of the magus gentics, pretty sure it was the double dutch. nice buds and much bigger yield this tim earound. gonna take harrekins advice and get myself some bubble bags, all the green is now in the fridge.
at least youll have some nice smoke for the summer jingle, nice days chillin out in the park with a beer and a few joints, cant wait myself. i think every grow you do from now in will just keep getting better, i think youll find you will get the biggest buds from the cheese, good luck with rest of grow fella.

The hash melts your brain! Because we'd be small growers, my preference with the bags is to use the 220, 160 and then just 20 micron bags. Gets you all the really low grades filtered out, but gives you a nice big lump of 95% melt hash. Mine bubbles and melts (just leaves a grey residue on the bong screen) even tho its just one grade and is much easier to handle cos its one large piece instead of loads of small sticky pieces that you lose half of on the pressing screen anyways.

Gets you really fucked up too, so unless your processing hundreds of grams of trim through large bags and are inclined to want to seperate your grades then use all the bags, if your a small grower who just wants to get really high for working something most would consider leftover trash, Id just make one big lump of "commercial" grade. My piece has different coloured streaks through it, it goes from dark brown/red to grey/white, to a nice blonde yellow all in the one piece. Texture across the "grades" is very similar too so its all sticks and is pliable to each other.

The stuff filtered with the 160 micron bag makes decent smoke too tho, there was much less of it, it has a more rough texture, I found it was darker (could be a strain thing tho) and it doesnt melt like the 20 micron bag stuff but it still gets you whacked.

Bare in mind Iv only done it twice tho, but its a pretty simple process so once you do it once or twice I dont think theres much to it. Just a tiny bit of experience will teach you little tricks, like using a cup of water to gather 90% of the resin into a pool in the center of the screen cos it saves alot of time and wasted resin - or for example - to use a thin spoon (when theres still a LITTLE water to drain) to pick it up cos otherwise you'll just spread it and it'll clump in loads of sticky little sausages which are hard to deal with or pick up.

Hope my experiences help people, will get some pics of the harvest and hash up asap, still aint got a camera.

remember to pour a load of melted butter into the left over water and swish it around, you get some very green tasting budder.

I wouldnt use the leftover water personally, its got all the contaminants in it that you've just removed from your hash. Lucifer those are the exact bags I have, and considering I aint using kg's of trim every few weeks I think they're perfect. For the sake of €30 to get a few grams of free hash EVERY GROW (off trim you were probably gonna throw out) that will make you laugh hysterically at the next dealer who offers you soap/pollen/squidgy, I say everyone who grows should get them. And those ones might be the "cheap" ones, but I think the only thing that makes them cheap is they've no frilly decoration shite or a "brand name" on them, Iv used them twice, one time with an electric mixer and theres no signs of wear or damage.

BUT for the sake of €30 quid for the bags, a bag of ice from Tescos (87c) and a small round plastic bathroom bin (€2-€32, the more basic the better) even if you only got one run of 3 or 4 grams off the bags before they theoretically became damaged (which is unlikely) you'd still be making a profit (if you were mad enough to sell it) and have hash the kind you wouldnt even get in Amsterdam.

Just the important thing from my reading on EVERY Bubblebag site is; dont expect to get really high quality hash out if you put junk in and dont spend some time on it. Freshly frozen trim from a high quality plant processed in clean bags with clean ice in a clean bucket will make high quality hash. Dried out/squishy limp trim off a low quality plant in dirty bags with dirty ice in an unwashed bucket is gonna produce contaminated (and weak) junk. You cant make a high quality jacket out of a low quality cow with poor workmanship and tools ;)

EDIT: Clean and dry your bags immediately after putting the last bit of hash into the pressing screen between two towels. A good tip Iv found actually is to load up/cool the bucket in the kitchen (access to ice, fridges, freezers, etc) but actually spin it and clear the bags in the bathroom. That way you can forget about spills, dump your mash/ice mix down the jacks when your finished (two loads with two seperate flushes, you dont wanna explain to a plumber what it all is if it gets clogged up!),wash out the bags in the shower and dry them off with a towel all without having to move! And by the time your finished washing out and drying the bags, your hash "cookies" will be ready to come out of the pressing screen onto a piece of cardboard. And DO NOT press them hard in the pressing screen! Just make sure its flush with the hash and then just GENTLY press a towel over it so the moisture leaves the hash through the screen into the towel without squishing the hash, cos if you press it wet, it will be unworkable.

Jesus, what a super-post...see what the hash does?! Maybe I should just post a detailed step by step tutorial, lol.

copied all that herrekin, some good advise. ill let you know how i get on when the bags arrive, theres a carrier bag of leaves in the fridge as im writing and another plant nearly done so there will be a good bit of trim. one question did you put your small stalks in there which were attached to the leaves or will they damage the bags.
thanks again

You should only be using the smallest of leaves, so the stalks shouldnt be hard at all and shouldnt damage the bags, they havnt mine and I freeze the trim solid.

do the mixing in a bucket then pour it through a strainer, bags will last a lot longer.Temped to get the ebay bags, bookmarked anyway, thanks for the link
