So not trying to brag.......well maybe a little but damn I am really impressed. These plants are growing so quickly in my new room.

Just a little grow info...
Room is 8ft x 8ft x 8ft
Grow area is 4ft x 8ft
Lighting is 3x Spider farmer SF 4000's @ 60% power
Room is sealed and air conditioned with dual hose AC
Quest 70 pint dehumidifier
CO² is at 850ppm and from a bottle
All controlled with a Trolmaster control system
Green Planet Nutrients are currently 825ppm in 8ppm RO water
Grow Medium is HP Pro Mix and Perlite in AutoPot XL pots

Sometime in the next few days I will be topping the plants and be installing a SCROG net. I really want to cover the entire 4'x8' grow area before flipping the lights to 12/12.

I am just so damn happy right now. Honestly things are going better than I expected them to.

Lastnight I got home from work for a few days. Today I topped the plants. Gonna install the scrog net tomorrow and rig in the Autopot tubing.

I am not totally sold on the Autopot system. But I paid for it so I had better try it at least once.

If it turns out to be a fail, I will probably go to a fertigation type system.

Day 8 of Veg.

Today the girls got watered. Gave them 2L of RO water each. This will be everything I plan on giving them for the veg stage. The strength will go up but this is it.

.5ml/L of Potassium Silicate (Max Strength)
1.25ml/L of Cal Mag (Max Strength)
1.5ml/L Part 1 Base Nutrient (Will Adjust)
1.5ml/L Part 2 Base Nutrient (Will Adjust)
1.25ml/L Root Builder (Max Strength)
1.25ml/L Vitathrive (Max Strength)

Ph was 5.8 after adding everything so I didn't add any ph down. PPM was 750, figured they are ready for a more aggressive feeding regimen.

Are these your first BCP? I have done quite a few of them over the years. They are always fun to run and sometimes quite tasty.

So some late night internet browsing and now I have a Ppfd meter coming in the mail. :bigjoint:

Ordered one of these Photobio PAR meterPhotobioPARmetre_1080x.jpg

I order pretty much everything from indoorfarmer. Cheapest Canadian hydro shop. You got the same price as they have it listed. They have free shipping as well.
Yeah, I order stuff from them too. I'm not really loyal to any of them though. I won't order anything from anyone if they charge for shipping. Shipping rates can be crazy.

I also try to buy local too. Sometimes I pay a few bucks more buying local but it's pretty handy to have those stores when an emergency comes up and I need something asap.

Well it's time to rig in this Autopot system, I should have never bought it. What the fuck was I thinking?

Oh well I paid for it, might as well use it once to keep the wife happy. She is looking forward to only having to mix nutes and not feed. (I haven't told her about the possible clogging tubes issues yet).

I should have bought or made a top feeding system with a pump and some bigass open ended hoses that don't clog up. But hey, why do it right the first time:wall: .

Got all the valve/ballasts all hooked up, they look and feel like some cheap shit. Hooked up the 1/4" hoses and realized they had shorted me a hose, not the end of the world, the 7 hoses I did get were 4x too long, so I was able to make a hose to replace the missing hose.

Time to hook up the mainline and ¼"-½" "T's" to tie in all the ¼ hose from each pot to the ½" mainline from the reservoir.........shorted again, I am missing the one "T" connector and THE FUCKING MAINLINE...FML. This time it's not a quick fix but a trip to the hydro store. Unfortunately I do not live close to the hydro store I bought the kit from so I will have to pay out of pocket at another store.

Needless to say my Autopot journey is not off to a stellar start.

Ok so I got the autopot system installed, everything looked good and was fine for 3 hours then one of the valve/float thingies failed and drained my reservoir of most of its water. Tried to get it to stop doing this for a couple hours and finally ended up removing the system.

She is a top water system from here to the end. Probably gonna get some halos for them eventually and run a pump on a timer to water in the future but it will have to wait a few weeks, headed back to work tomorrow morning.

I did however get the trellis netting installed. It looks pretty good. I also tucked a bunch of the fan leaves under the branch tops to give them some light.

Day 15 Veg.

I did also water today.
Gave them each 3L of RO water with:
0.5ml/L of Potassium Silicate
1.25ml/L of Cal Mag
2.5ml/L of Base Nutrient #1
2.5ml/L of Base Nutrient #2
1.25ml/L of Root Builder
1.25ml/L of Vitathrive

Ppm was 990ppm
Ph was 5.45

So the feeding that the girls got lastnight will be the maximum strength for the remainder of the vegetative stage.

I am hoping to fill most of the scrog netting but will probably flip them whenever the runt or very indica dominant (not sure about it, looks very healthy, just short) Black Cherry Punch reaches the netting.

But anyways hoping to flip around day 30 or 40 of veg.

Day 18 Veg.

Biggest plant so far is a Fuel Og. This one is already into the netting.

So far things are going pretty well. The Fuel Og are a 60/40 sativa dominant hybrid and are definitely stretching out quicker than the 90/10 indica dominant Black Cherry Punch. The BCP are shorter and very bushy.

Water day.
Plants got 2L each of RO water containing:
0.5ml/L Potassium Silicate
1.25ml/L CalMag
2.5ml/L Base Nutrient #1
2.5ml/L Base Nutrient #2
1.25ml/L Root Builder
1.25ml/L Vitathrive

Plants are looking good, a few more are about to reach the SCROG net. Getting anxious to get the net to 75% covered and flip these girls.

The Black Cherry Punches are falling further and further behind the Fuel Og's, probably shouldn't have paired them up in this grow together but I haven't grown in awhile and wanted a good indica and sativa so what does a guy do.

Day 21 Veg.

Six of the eight plants have reached the SCROG net. The wife who is currently looking after them is having issues keeping the branches under the net, I don't quite understand how this is a hard task but she has no interest in growing weed so I think that may be the issue. We will try again tonight to get the tops back under the netting, if she is unsuccessful I will have no option but to flip the plants to 12/12 as I don't want them getting super tall. My yield expectations will be dropped drastically but what do you do when you can't be there yourself?

As for the plants, they will get watered again tonight. I am really noticing growth spurts the day after watering. I would like to water more but a combination of not wanting to piss off the wife with the added work and the horrible Autopots the plants are currently in not allowing them to dry out as fast as they would in fabric air pots is not ideal. Next grow this will be delt with. I may just go to more plants in smaller air pots or 10 gallon air pots with the same number of plants but in a considerably lighter, less absorbent medium like a 50/50 mix of coco/perlite. I will also be adding a top feeding halo system so I can automate more feedings. But these growing pains are to be expected in a new set up, especially since I am away at work for so long and my non-weed loving wife is the principal care taker.

Well the wife got all the tops under control. I knew she could do it. She was just bending the tops over and they would pull themselves back up. I told her to pull over the entire branch. Now she has the hang of it. I am so happy I don't have to go 12/12. My yield would have been horrible.

Stepping Up My Game!

Today my PPFD meter came in. Pretty excited about it as I really have no idea at all what my current lighting levels are. As far as I am concerned, up till today I have not been utilizing my rooms capabilities to its full potential.

Since I am supplementing CO² and currently in veg, I want to shoot for 800 - 1000ppfd. Probably gonna settle on ~900ppfd.

I can't wait to see how even my light coverage is with the 3x Spider farmer SF4000's. I know, I know I am a bit of a nerd for this stuff but it does truly excited me. :-P
