So watching the game lastnight when the wife tells me we won one of the early bird prizes on the Oilers 50/50 draw. Woohoo $1500, Woohoo oilers off to conference championship, it truly was a great night lastnight.
Grats

I’ll bring the salads

Well 9 weeks of flowering are completed. All but one plant look to be done or are really close to being done. Thinking harvest will be Thursday. That will give these 9 week strains just about 10 weeks of flowering.

So far this grow things have gone pretty smoothly. I did have issues with a slight CO² leak, I am suspecting my dual hose AC is either sucking a bit of air out or introducing air in. Not sure which but I have plans to add a ductless AC unit soon and keep the dual hose AC rigged in as a back up. I will also be installing the UVB lights I bought. I might add a CO² burner and ditch the bottles as well.

As for the actual grow, it went smoothly but I did over veg. The canopy is too thick even with aggressive defoliation, I couldn't keep up, so I will have larf. I also let my medium ph get too low once. Pretty sure it locked out my cal/mag for a few days while I corrected it. No lasting side effects were noticed other that the few leaves that tipped me off showing signs of the deficiency.

The biggest issue I noticed was a few days ago, I found a hermie flower on one of my colas. I chopped off the cola and was only able to find the single flower. Checked all other plants but no other hermie flowers could be found. I suspect this was because that particular cola was the closest one to the lights in the room and became stressed. It's just shitty because it was an actual flower not just a nanner, so I could have a few seeds. I am not anticipating very many seeds from a single flower but who knows.

I've had similar issues. I can't tell if it was my messed up ph pen or I was overwatering. My new pen is marinating in storage solution right now, so I'll have some answers tomorrow.
I was pushing this grow quite hard. High light levels, high co² levels, high nutrient levels and so on. I did this intentionally to see what would happen as a baseline for future grows in this room. Next grow things will be tuned down quite a bit and hopefully everything is happier.

Harvest Day.

First off I would like to say the plants could have/should have gone another week but that is time I just didn't have. They went almost 10 weeks though so it's not like I harvested them before they were ripe, they were ripe but could have gone a little longer.

There are lot of nice buds/colas but there is also a fair amount of larf. Guess I am gonna have a bunch of bubble hash. Not 5he worst thing to have happen.

The grow room has been converted to a drying room since I can control the climate in there.

Broke down the plants and hung them. Should take about 2 weeks.

I harvested two days before going back to work. So I haven't been home to see how it turned out yet. The wife dried it for 11 days then processed and bagged it. She said there was a lot of larf on the fuel Og but the Black Cherry Punch was hard nugs pretty much throughout. I asked her how it smelled and, she opened a bag to smell it and said it burned her nostrils. I guess it has lots of terpenes.

Right now it is all curing. She opens the bags for an hour each day in a room with 58% humidity. Going to switch that to every 4 or 5 days soon.

As for weight, I have no idea, but from the amount she has bagged, I would say close to 3lbs if not more.

Still need a little help on dehumidifier sizing. Please.....anyone out there?

On another note, I received anemail from spiderfarmer this morning. My lights will be here today. Four days early.
I use a 35 pint GE Dehumidifier for my grow room. I bough a 3ft hose at Lowes and cut off the male end. I connected it to the dehumidifier and took a 5 gal bucket and used a 1 1/4 hole saw to cut a hole in the lid and put the hose in the bucket. I can go 1 or 2 days without dumping the bucket in my bathtub depending on what % setting and how humid it is. I use an A/C in tandem with it. Makes it easier to control temp and humidity that way.dehumid.png

Nice project you got going on. Im limited to 4 plants so I use a 4X4X7ft grow tent. I do have some setups that I have been throwing around but I just setup my tent in one of my spare rooms in my house.

I bought stuff to make a RDWC system with a 27 gal reservoir but havent finished making it yet. I was planning on doing 4 DWC buckets instead. I have ziptied tomato cages on to the 5 gal bucket net pot lids. BUt I decided to go organic soil in 5gal fabric pots this grow because of the summer heat. I dont feel like dealing with root rot even with Hydroguard idk if it can handle 26-27C in a hydro setup. Ill wait until September or October to start that grow.

You're in Canada so its probably colder plus that garage floor should keep it cool too.

Good Luck Ill check back later see how everything is going.
