i am trying to do as much as i can with as little equipment as possible, including lugging around a tri-pod, or even mono-pod.....so focusing on off-hand as much as possible....one maybe two lenses, bat powered ring light, bat powered speed light, mini stand, mini soft box and umbrella..wireless trigger.......filters, a few gels.....my bag is just about full, but i have a little more space in there yet, but def need to keep it to one carry on bag....prolly one more speedlight.....as far as reflection, it is easy to find and assistant on location to hold up reflectors like a piece of poster board, or even white pillow case etc. or holding a speed light..........using natural lighting (sun) and clouds (soft box) as much as possible.....i think cloudy day shots are the best for buds anyways, and always look for light pouring through a window.....almost set on getting a 70-200mm for my second lens, because i like the ability to shoot (over) plants to the back-side buds, and the compression (blowing out the background) can be really important for remote shots where you can't control the background (esp. plants that are in the ground).
