Or why was the gift conditional on publishing your results in various forums? It certainly was not your idea to do this in several forums at the same time.
Accept that you are only being exploited to push their lights. You can continue to use many parts of these lights. The COB's can be simply exchanged for better ones (if you have accepted that there are better ones available). Will happen sooner or later anyway. With LED it is like with CPU's... Every year a new one with better performance. I would use it for 1 or 2 runs, save some money in the mean time and then switch to latest generaton COB's. The base looks sturdy and should last 10 years and the "spider" layout allows a nice and even distribution. You could at first remove the unneeded 60° lenses, this allows you to reduce the hights(COB's are 115-120°) and you get higher PAR readings. Such a lens swallows up to 10% of the light!
Youtube is full of videos where users swap the shitty LED's in their lights for high quality COB's.
That works really well! Cizitens CLU038-1206C4-303H5-M3(3000°k/CRI90) ar 15w chips which should fit. Would boost over all efficiency by 50% or so...

And the fact that they have an American branch office says nothing. The lights or at least the parts for it are all imported from China. This is confirmed by ads with identical lights on Alibaba.com. Contact them, if you order enough lights they will use whatever COB you want.
You can continue to submit your posts, but we do not want to see any unpaid ads. If the producer/dealer wants to do that, he must be registered as an advertiser.

Welp the ac in the grow room went out. In quick need if a new one asap! week 2 has came around. Clones have shown more growth, seedlings off to a slow start. Could be heat, could be strains, could be LIGHT? The Yoda OGs seem to be developing quicker growth among tje other clones. Feed day today. And That's a brilliant idea to modify the light. If it were mine id try it out. But i am under the condition that i do not and will not own the light. Unless they at the end decide to gift it to me but no where in the contract did it state it was a gift. So to be safe, amd to save me being charged for a price we all know is high, ill hold off for now. But hey, if it turns out tp be a gift ill holler for pointers!!
