anyone using H&G Cocos A/B.... could you please tell me which secondary and micro nutrients are listed on the bottles? I dont need to know amounts or anything, in fact, if someone could just count the # of elements in the 2 bottles and tell me how many there are including the macro (NPK), i would appreciate it.

Also, if anyone has a bottle of House & Garden Algen Extract, could you tell me if it list any ingredients?... or even better, does it list the percentage of Ascophyllum Nodosum that is used?

thanks and +rep to any and all who can help.

YA i'm using soil a&b in sunshine #4. It keeps happening, and I'm sick of it. I have started to add 1 tsp molasses per gallon to supplement mag and p. I'm not sure if it will help. Further I'm facing significant loses in yield and quality in the ones that I have finished. 3 of 5 turned out fine, and 2 of 5 smell piney, and have small unusual buds. https://www.rollitup.org/images/smilies/icon_evil.gif

I hope that the molasses helps, but the fact that I need to use it at all really pisses me off. These are premium nutes after all.

Have any of you seen signs of phos deficiency while using H&G's line? If so, how did you correct it?

That is debatable. Premium price does not guarantee quality. Only guarantee is a redistribution of wealth - from your wallet to theirs. ;)

UB what nutes are you using? i PM'ed you in the past just to thank you for your help but never thought to ask what you are using. with grows like your's i should have asked that question first lol.

Being a commercial farmer, gardener, etc. all I can say is I use any product that is non-cannabis specific (value and quality) which means anything from Walmart or a nursery is fine. If you're in Canada, look for "Plant Products" aka "Plantex". That company produces very high quality and inexpensive foods.

Hey fellows, few quick questions.

1 - Does H&G line contain any beneficial bacterias? I read about this one fellow running H2O2 to keep his hydro setup bacteria free.

2 - Would adding beneficial bacteria mixes like "Great White" help?

3 - Also how well does the H&G line work with Ebb n Flow systems, do you guys think one can get away without changing the reservoir for a good few weeks. I reckon organic nutes don't last that long after mixing. The reason I ask is because due to my grow situation, changing the res more then once every 3-4 weeks would be hard. So if H&G doesn't last long after mixing then I rather just make a fresh mix and water by hand or if I really want to go ebb n flow then I could resort to something like GH 3 part with some additives.

1&2 H&G actually recommends Great White. dont run h2o2 if you run great white though it will kill them off!

Yes the house and garden line does have beneficial bacterial it is even listed on the botles here in canada. Root excelurator says "hydro bacteria" its the second ingredient on the bottle

Thank you guys.

When using top booster, it says to flush with plain water, won't that was the bacteria out if growing in coco?

Any info on if this line is organic or organic based. I am thinking if they recommend great white then it must be organic based.

I read up on this line a lot and am definitely thinking of giving this a shot

House and garden is not organic based. The root exculerator says its made from natural sources.

My coco and aqua flakes are amonium nitrate, nitric acid etc.....

I never flush. Pisses my wife off. Oh, you mean the garden? Same answer except the wife could care less. I've seen no problem with taste, harshness, ect using H&G.

im new to the thread, but created an account just to talk about this. First off, have you guys seen DoubleD's 10 tree grow... its in another thread i think.

He uses AN sensi 2 part for his base, and he uses the HG algen, roots excelerator, and I think one other HG product, and he swears by them

I just wanted to let you guys know that you can criss cross... at least those 2 brands in those 2 particular applications.

I have never used house and garden.

My biggest problem is, where i live, no one carries it.

Also, i have heard BAD things about letting expensive nutes freeze or overheat.

If someone like myself had them shipped to where I live, theres a chance that BOTH could occur, just depending on the day.

This scares me the most about ordering from them.

The thing i dont understand is your using soil nutrients in a soilless mix than bitching about deficiencies. read up on what your doing. get a different base nutrients. or switch to soil..
