Hey all, just thought I would post a few pictures of my current grow using H&G Aqua Flakes with the full lineup of additives per the H&G schedule. I am in week 5 (day 32) of flowering, this is an unknown strain gifted to me about 5 years ago. This is my first attempt at SCROG and believe this strain is going to be amazing using this method(that is just one plant). I just popped 4 OG Kush and 2 G13 Haze last thursday night and as of yesterday I had all but 1 of the OG's out of the rockwool and can't wait to grow these genetics with these nutrients. I have been using H&G for about 3 years now and have no plans of ever switching to anything else. Talked to this guy the other day about water changes and flushing.

He mentioned to me that he Flushes his plants almost every week when he does a water change. Say Saturdays are New nute/water change days. Thursday after the last water feeding before lights turn off he drains his water/res tanks. Fills them with just RO water PH5.8 lets them sit why lights are off, lights come on he checks his PH again under 6.2 hes good. Flushes for Friday lights on, right before lights out he drains the res and does his nute change so its ready when lights come back on, on Saturday.

Was thinking that's allot of water to go through if it is not doing anything really beneficial for the plants, just kinda cleaning out the res haha.

Wanted to share this with everyone seeing what other opinions were out there on this process.

thas what i do... except i dont clean out nothing, res is fine, i just dump every week and give a new nute feeding per the chart.

i dont even put pH up or down in my res... i just pour in a, then b...let it mix over night and its around 5.7-5.8 perfect

What's up guys I am using house and garden in a DWC set up and would like to talk to the guys at House and garden either here in the USA or a number overseas.... But for the life of me I cant find the number. and I have emailed a few times with no response.. So does anybody know how to get a hold of someone there?

I' am switching to straight coco mix, and plan on using H&G Complete line with Coco A+B. I already bought the nutes and the chart, my question is i am used to feeding every watering. Looking at the chart (ie. 5.5ml/g week 1) do I water with that amount for one day, or do I add that every time i water that week? Thanks for the help.

hey h & g users, so glad to have found you! i need help. this is my first grow using h&g aqua flakes and it seems that i am lacking some nutrient... either mg or possibly zinc??? i am growing super lemon haze, the plants are 6 weeks into veg and under 24/0 t5's right now. it is an ebb and flow grow in hydroton. the lights are 5 in above plants, the temps are between 76-82 degrees and the r/0 is 58%. i use r/o water and have followed the nutrient chart to the letter... ph @ 5.6. mix a, let it sit for 30 min, then mix in b, let it sit... then ph... then add roots excell and algen extract. i will attach a couple of pics and would appreciate any and all help. i have tried foliar spraying with epsom salts to no avail. again, please help. thank you

i had the same exact problem with Aqua Flakes. i bought everything their chart said and even great white. i ran to schedule and my plants looked HORRIBLE by week 2 of flower! i had plants that dont even had full colas at week 6! i was so dissapointed with this line. i am using RO, tried upping EC of base, tried adding MagiCal and even tried bringing ph up from the slightly lower level i was running it (5.5-5.6 to 5.8-5.9) and it just looked like ass. $400 wasted. Lucas formula didnt make my plants look this bad on my first grow ever with tap water....

... add some magical or cal/mag plus and it will clear right up... those two both have extra fe, mg, sulfer, and when you get mg def that is left untreated it often goes hand in hand with iron, sulfer, and zink defs... the sulfer and iron defs are starting right behind the Mg def you have, but either of those products should clear it up pretty fast.

Echo - I always add cal/mag after week two.

OK i really been wondering how many people have been House and Garden Nute line and for how long and have changed things up like added other blends into the mix!

I do have a Sheet that i got from a shop near by when i started to buy my nute line that has some other different brands in the feeds including the H&G.

So yea i will be posting that shortly and if there is any feedback on it or other growers that have used some of all of the other nutes with H&G i am really looking forward to the feed back i get from it!

hey hulk looks like we go to the same place i use that chart as a reference it is prett spot on have you run the full line nute line up that they list or just the house and garden im using the h n g as well as cal mag moab and flora nectar fruit n fusion i am very cuiouse to see the results from using the full line up i meet a grower who claimed to run their full nute line up to a T and said it was amazing never got to see his prodcut or any so cant speak on that

Been reading this thread and I am on the fence about using this stuff. Most seem to think it is great but some have deficiencies. I am using hydroton in ebb and flow. Been using AN and it works great but cost 2X as much ! Super easy and no problems ever since I have used it. Just plug and play. I dont want to risk getting half the yield with a problem etc but also dont want to keep shelling out 2X as much $. Would really like to know more about why people are having issues at all with the stuff. Also I am using regular tap water but it is spring water with little to no chlorine.

I use regular tap water and have not had to add anything to the H&G schedule using Aqua Flakes. I have now been using this for around three years and have no plans on switching anytime soon. I switched from Botanicare's lineup to H&G and spend less money and have better results. Good luck if you end up trying H&G, I bet you will like it if you try it.

Are you using regular feeding or heavy? I was thinking somewhere in between. Are you adding anything else besides the A&B ? I have two 5 gallon jugs I just bought before reading the thread but havent opened them yet. Just trying to make sure I dont FUBAR anything. Will be adding Big Bud from AN like I did with the Sensi A&B with great results. Wondering if people with Mag defs are running the light feeding perhaps or having PH issues....

I am using the light feeding but I have done the heavy in the past. I am adding the rest of the H&G lineup per the nutrient calculator on their webpage and my pH does climb.
