Buck has no concept of economics. While self sufficiency is best, it's better to rely on exporting than importing. The US has a trade deficit. Nations who don't have a trade deficit or are closer to self sufficiency can afford more socialist programs. Therefore, the US can't afford as high of a minimum wage socialist program.

Pretty much liberals like Buck are kids, "that's not fair, why does Billy get to go to Disney Land every day if he wants mommy? We sometimes go less than once a year." "because, Son, Billy's parents make more than us. You're right it's not fair, but there's nothing you can do about it."

Governments are like a kid who can't go out to get a job. A kid therefore has to persuade his parents though temper tantrums, deals like if you get all As, doing chores, etc. You have some governments who spoil their kids, beat them, hippy egalitarian, etc. All these forms of government have their consequences, some of which are positive, and others negative, with all approaches. Just like parenting a certain way makes your kid a gigalo or dead beat father, while others parenting styles turn out Bill Gates. Then if you're a fuck up mean parent who abuses their kid in some fashion, you go to prison (war), or if lucky parenting classes(negotiations).

Nope, wrong. You voted for Obama, that makes it your fault. I refuse to play the game. My choice is finding a new game. It would be my fault if I voted, then I have no right to complain. Voting is like when a parent gives a child two options, but in reality there's only one option. But depending on how you phrase the fake options, your child is deluded into thinking they had a choice. My blame expired the moment Obama was sworn into office.

I regret participating and perpetuating the system. But the fact it made liberals like you angrier than I am about Obama, that was fun. In long run though, it kept me from attaining my path towards Buddhahood. It's not easy getting there, and unless you experience, sometimes that's not as meaningful as doing the vice first.
