The quest for density in buds

Hello peop,
I’ve been on a quest for years to find a way to make my buds as compact as possible and so far, nothing seems to beat CO2 and weed grown outdoors next to corn. Hydro shops will try to tell you that Potassium will make buds more compact but after trying pretty much everything on the market, i see no difference adding anything with extra potassium. Hell, i even tried Bringing in the same soil farmers use for their corn and the only difference i saw was more trichomes on my strain but no difference in terms of bud density. I am not interested in any PGR stuff so I am running out of ideas. Has anyone ever been that same rabbit hole as I have? And yes i Know that genetics has influence in bud density but i digress...

I have no scientific proof or even a side by side but I'm pretty sure the Cannabis JLF I've been feeding my outdoor plants has had a positive effect on density and terpenes. I'm growing 2 plants of 2 different strains. I wish I would have done the JLF on one of each just to have a non-scientific comparison.

If you think about it feeding your plants fertilizer made from cannabis makes sense. I did have to add additional nitrogen as the JLF wasn't providing enough and I was getting some yellowing early in flower.

I don't remember ever having outdoor plants smelling as much and bulking up as much as I have this year. The only thing that's changed is the addition of JLF made from cannabis.

I have tried almost every bottled nutrient on the market and see no difference, tried floralicious too and all sorts of additives from bat guano to bud boosters and finishers with no positive results. I tried MH for flowering and it just extended my flowering period with no positive effects. Colder temps didn’t help either. I have done side by side with SE and DE bulbs and still didn’t see any difference in bud density. Everything you guys mentioned i have tried, except for the JLF. Might go down that rabbit hole eventually but according to what i have read, it only improves taste. I don’t know why weed grown in corn fields get super compact but it really works. Try it next summer if you don’t believe me.

Herb, you clearly don’t know what you are talking about. I have been growing outdoors for decades and there’s a reason why i mentionned corn fields. That’s because anywhere else, my tested strains are a lot fluffier

I don’t doubt that can be possible-
If it is just genetics or corn i must have been very lucky this round because I grew 3 different strains and all had large dense colas.
This 1 stalk is 96g wet- i am expecting 1.25 oz after drying. Buds are very firm.FFEF99D9-C2C0-4CB2-AEB7-32D47D367AD8.jpegB58125E2-51BA-44D3-9111-5A3FACAF35B8.jpeg
