shit I feel ya there, that's why I stagger my indoors, so I don't have to get blasted with 70 hrs of trimming all at once.
that's what I HATE about the outdoor crop, it's mostly done all at once... but that's because I only like to run two of my strains outside.
I stagger my indoor stuff every two weeks or three weeks adding three plants.
I go with nine plants at three different stages, beats the hell out of trying to do nine plants all at once.
Central valley huh?
I was born in Modesto, lived in Turlock for a bit.
HATED it there though... That's why I moved to the coast.. hot as hell in the summer, and cold as hell in the winter... plus I kept finding trouble...
Good job on those plants
what are some strains you like to grow if you don't mind me asking??

Get yourself a 60x to 120x microscope and start looking at your damaged leaves and buds. Visual confirmation is key.

probably the alltime easiest, overall really great at every growing attribute is the Bluedream.
But if you are into selling and such it's got a lil market saturation issue, but that's because its such a hardy strain.
Outdoors you can get some serious weight from this lady though.
The J1, jack herer, purple paralysis, even the picky ass girl scout cookie does well outside.
But if I had to pick one it's be the bluedream, that plant grows itself

the middle one above this, is the one that is the easiest to ID, the prob is it's after they are sucking it dry.
see how the leaves exhibit windburn damage? it's because the same shit is happening to the plant, it's juices are being dried.
the only thing these pics don't show is the clawing of the leaves when it's first attacked.

Hey Rhizosphere +rep, I been Following along with this thread, and I thought It would be a good time to chime in and share my experience with ya.

Here is my battle with the russet mites/rust mites/broad mite, I never herd of them before, By the time i figured out what was going on with my plants i was totally infested. so how i battled them i sprayed Avid 2.5ml per gal/ Organicide 1.5 ounce per gal / Monteray 1.5 oz per gal/ every 2 days alternating treatment products. i started this treatment AUG 12 and its been about 3 weeks and i'm not seeing any sign of them mites the white hairs are starting to show nicely :weed:. I know avid is bad shit but from what i read it was a sure killer of russet mites. and my plants seem to like it. i really plan to be on my preventive incest control on any further grows to prevent using the avid. also I find dry poofing the diotomatious earth on and around the plants in the garden cuts ALL bugs up. Don't use the DE in flower!!!

Here are some pics from my garden when i was totaly infested to help people identify, and rid these microscopic fuckers from this world.

very nice man thanks for the input and pictures keep up the good work!!

if this is you first year having them be very mind full they get every where i suggest being very clean when you harvest cutting leafs in to garbage bags.card bored boxs etc. and dumping them in your green waste and spray it with bleach! after harvest spray all your out door plants and dirt lawn everything with avid at lest a few times!

heh, ooops...

Not knocking your technique at all, just curious as to why?
do you have a shitty wet sep and oct?
i'm just thinking those babies could go for another month under the CA sun if they weren't forced early.
May be costing yourself in the yields a lil, unless of course it rains where you are.
I've just never heard of anyone doing that at this time of yr.
again, the plants look great, so there's nothing wrong, just curious is all..
Do you do a double harvest? adding another set after these are done?
Evryone does it..some early money and dank dont hurt..

Abemectin (Avid) is a nasty pesticide, so never use it in flower.

My recipe for permanent eradication is 3ml Avid plus 60ml of Azamax. If you read the Avid label all the way they to the very end, they mention that horticultural oils do a great job of extending the effectiveness of abemectin. Use warm water and shake often before and during application.

Do the application twice about ten days apart on everything that isn't in bloom. It did the job for me. For plants already in flower, using natural remedies can help slow them down enough to finish your crop, but don't use either Avid or Azamax in bloom.

That's cool man, i just wasn't a fit for the valley.
Santa Cruz fits me much better.
Central cali in general sucks. Especially the girls.
This!!
Go hang out in santa cruz for a weekend, and just LOOK.
Then go hang out in Turlock for a weekend, and try not to cry.
Like 6 out of ten women are attractive here.
maybe 1 or 2 out of ten in Turlock..
Plus it's hot as shit in the summer and cold as fuck on the winter.
Yay.
