So far, this is a topfeed soil grow with aerated compost tea made from found objects at the beach... and I'm guessing some nutrients?
I'm not knocking it, but it isn't DWC; deep water culture, BY DEFINITION, is growing the plant in a water bath. You aren't doing that. It's a soil grow with the reservoir underneath. If the plant has the majority of the rootball in the soil, it's a soil grow. If the mass of roots is underneath in water, then it could possibly be more of a DWC style.
Again, not knocking the grow or your results thus far- they seem to be doing the job! I'm just questioning your use of terminology.
Yeah i gotta work on better defining..thanks for helping me keep it accurate. Ill have to revise title. But the four other plants are actually dwc because they have root masses dropping into the res..ill have to snap pics of Roots to show.... Nutes have been nutrifield grow a and b bloom a and b...quarter strength till flower..So far, this is a topfeed soil grow with aerated compost tea made from found objects at the beach... and I'm guessing some nutrients?

thank u!... It all started from the desire to grow soil at a location 120 miles away... I can only check plants 2times a week or so thus the need to create a self watering system...Crazy ideas . . . . .that's what I like . . . . .
If it ain't tried, how will we know? You are to be commended for the idea and for the bollox to try your idea; it's clear it works to a certain extent. I'll keep a good eye on your thread as I've been toying with aerating soil over the last few months. I'll perhaps fill y'all in at a later date.
Well done, keep it up. Very interested.
