Bout to post more shots of the top fed soil / aerobic compost tea undercurrent whatever the heck is system.never drained the resevoir the whole run...just added water n beach life charcoal rhizo lacto bacilus n all the goodies...even added cream cheese n a jalapeno to my kelp brew with some rice crackers...made a mold brewed that n been feeding that home brew to the plants.. I let it self adjust ph is at 6.4 n steady ppms are around 1100 n go down as water evaps.. ...soil does everything for me...n slef waters through the undercurrent... I cut the top feed to my 4 of 5 of my plants after roots got strong n big .. Now they just feed from the undercurrent tea mix...with this setup ive had no need to drain the whole run...how is this possible? Where is the runoff going? Plants show NO sign of anything bad..
1. Soil as a dwc medium works if you pot the soil inside a layer of hydroton type material..... For this i use the double netpot...a smaller netpot sitting inside a larger netpot with a hole on bottom for roots to get thick....
2. Water must be aerated n amended with hg rhizoforce n mycofusion hydro100 powder n ground wood charcoal..u can throw all sorts of organic bacteria rich matter in the tub and those three indgredients will culture yourbtub water into a super juice...i added earthworm tea grapefruit juice kelp slime anerobic brews aerobic brews....things that would get u shot for puttin in most dwc tubs...but the geyser pumps seem to let the soil be the chef to all these organic additives i threw at it...
3. People said it would not work......it seems to work better...why? My plants can take at least 7 days of no watering..i can utilize the benefits of growing organically..(taste terps potency)
Nutes are free right off the beach or nature trail...
No overfeed even with liberal feedings of homemade nutes. Ph adjusts itself somehow...
no draining of resevoirs just add more water as it evaps...did i mention i successfully grow healthy plants 120 miles away with 4-7 days away at a time?
