Haha yeah I had like 10 too many a few days ago. Was straight OUT OF COMMISION the next day. To give you an idea, this was me...

:spew:

Aw shit, anyway...

I dig your set-up man. I've been meaning to check out your grow for like a week now. I'm looking forward to following it. Your airstone arrangement has me looking at mine with scorn! :peace:

lol...

haha i missed out on all the fun during my hangover. here i am riding it out into another night. i've been looking at my closet grow (link in sig) and the lady sure is stemmy. she looks like she could go into flower in about a week. so i'm considering snipping some clones just in time before flower, and start them 12/12 in the AG. if i go this route, any tips?

I need your help! I recently purchased one of those aero gardeners but I have the smaller version. I planted about 6 white widow seeds only 2 sprouted up. Then about 2 weeks later I started to see root rot. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! Can you please break everything down for me like how much water to use to what type of lights and etc. Thanks :eyesmoke:

i know you're looking for help bro but i saw this verbatim on another thread... thread spamming isn't cool in my book. check the AG FAQ at the top of the aerogardener's page. Also consider starting a grow journal. Maybe start a few threads as well.

all that shit aside... fill to the "FILL TO HERE" line clearly stamped inside the AG water tank. unless you're looking to upgrade the lights in the hood will suffice.

actually all the shit aside, read the damn guide.. haha

If your roots have grown down long enough to be touching the water in the reservoir than TURN OFF THE AG PUMP. If its left on the whole time you risk getting root/stem rot. Like me... sniff...

i'm glad i'm not the only one calling spam. i've done that before as well. but i at least have the courtesy to show interest in the grower's grow and have questions regarding their grow as well. it would have been alright had the dude showed a little respect and asked questions to some facing similar problems. seems to me the dude started a grow, fucked up, found the forum on google, and thought it was a playground.

haha well alot out you started out like that, maybe not spamming, but we all need help, I usually step out and take the time to help, but i have been busy latley, the more people helping the better, gotta give em a chance, imagine if you first started out and you have no clue how to start a thread, need some fast help, and get thrown to the side while you dream of growing is crushed haha

Yo Shack, I dig the Jefferson quote in your sig. I noticed it a long time ago and meant to comment but, well, I was stoned and I forgot :) Jeffersons sort of a personal hero of mine. The original American libertarian. Kudos

I made an executive decision today, sorry to anyone following along with my seed purchase... My big girl in the closet went into flower two days ago, and I made a quick move to clone the lower branches I was planning on trimming anyway.

Still situating the layout, but this grow journal is now going from clone to flower.

Basic gameplan...

-Clone in AG under 24 hour CFL
-Root system development immediate switch to 12/12
-Flower lollipops in the AG

Photos coming soon..

No no MrAlex... this journal will follow the progress of 6 clones that got plugged in this afternoon. The other journal will follow the flowering-harvest of the plant in the WaterFarm. This will strictly follow the AG grow.

GET THAT DAMN LAMP OUT OF THE WAY!!!

Aren't they cute???

So here is the deal, all 6 clones were taken from their mom found in my other grow journal (link in sig). They were inserted into the sponges in such a way that the tips of the stems are exposed at the bottom. Airstones are pumping away in the res, as well as the AG built in drip pump. I trimmed the largest leaf set on all clones. Before going into the AG the cut ends of the clones were soaked in a mild "Superthrive" solution for 15 minutes. Now that they are in the AG they are in PURE, distilled pH'd water (5.9) I don't have rooting hormone and probably won't use any. Surprisingly they all seem turgid still, and have quite a bit life to them.

When should I expect them start looking lifeless? Should they? All things go well, I won't see that?

What do you peeps have to say??

What schedule do you have the water pump working?

If you have it going on the settings in the AG and not an external timer, you have the risk of rotting your stems before they have a chance to develop roots...

if the clones have access to all the water they want, they will not be in a hurry to develop roots....

I say give your clones enough water to SURVIVE, but stay thirsty...

Thirsty clones make roots fast, so thy can seek more water sources...

Keep the sponge soaked 24/7 and you will not be happy...

My 2 cents... based on my failures and successes with cloning in the AG...

Cheers...

Putting the lights on a 12/12 timer tomorrow. I guess I could put the AG pump on the same timer? Or does it need the 15 minutes every now and then action?
