I should've said I've seen yellowing on some and not others with my bubble cloner and coco which has nutrient.

I started with tap water in my bubble cloner for the simplicity it had worked well for others, not having to adjust ph or ec at any point was appealing, small volumes of nutrient aren't too stable.

That said it stands to reason nutrient should be helpful to aide rooting, I suspect the leafs are yellowing because the nutrient is getting used up, idk why some might be worse than others for yellowing it could be strain related?
Maybe those excessive one would benefit from nutrient?
Water is advantageous in that it's hassle free for us but idk about being beneficial to the plants rooting?

Aye could be strain related for sure! They haven’t all yellowed uniformly for me.

Will see next time if some nutrients make any difference.

I have used formulex before with good results at seedling stage in coco when I first grew weed. I think they have a recommended dosage for clones…
