having never grown anything in my life ive decided to grow my own and i kinda stumbled across this site wich i must say has some fantastic advice and tips.

ive just invested in some kit to start me off

60x60x140 grow tent
125watt envirolite (mainly cause i have to do this in my loft and i know the police fly over with infared camera's so i need it to be small )
starting with some Blue Himalaya auto flowering so i can get a feel for growing

welcome to riu.and when it come to helli's flying over,if you buy some anti detection sheeting you wont need to worry about that.

Welcome to RIU....
Autos are a GREAT way to start...but RIU is NOT auto friendly....sure, there's a bunch of us here who grow'em but seldom post'em.....Personally, I only grow autos, keep a full drawer of choice buds to choose from, and haven't spent a penny on buying someone elses shit.
Perhaps you'll stumble upon a site that's auto friendly where you'll only get support with no flaming....

I have to agree with old reefer, I think I may be converting to autos. I have one sweet dwarf auto. honestly the easiest thing that Ive grow, next to sunflowers and raddishs.(not types of ganja).
I can see why some say you wont learn as much, etc,, but then again, if you dont really know what your doing, or have a very low budget they can be a quick/easy start.
Yeah depending on where you live and what type of house insulating the attic/loft and buying some anti dection sheeting(as someone adviced above,gr8 advice).
I started with a 125 envirolight,,good cheap way to start, I'll be honest I have switched to a 600w hps in the flower room ,and already results are alot better.but for veg I still use the cfl, cfls do a good job too.
Good luck and happy growing.
