get a long thin rope and tie a weight to it. throw it over the branch you want to cut. then tie the heavier rope with the saw to the thin rope you threw over the branch. pull it up and over and do the deed.
you could use a bow and arrow for the really tall ones.
look out below.

thanks guys.
i looked at those telescoping chainsaws and im not really interested because i want something that makes little to no sound. i was looking at the one that already comes with the weight already on it too. and axe isnt going to get high enough.
that pruner that screws apart is cool, where did you find that?

When using a hand powered "chain saw", the trick is do your cuts quickly. this helps throw the "saw dust" away from the cutting area, helping to avoid clogging.
Done from below, the branch's weight should progressively open the cut, making cutting easier.
Face away from the trees trunk when cutting, and be ready to get out of the way when the branch falls.

I don't know how much you need to cut.... but be aware that "passing" shade makes all plants grow faster. It makes them reach for the sun.

When I look for a potential grow spot, about 50% of the time I look up, not god as my witness I would ever rip anyone, but I would notice trees being trimmed from a mile away. I also know hunters always look up for possible tree stand spots. Also be careful sounds like an accident waiting to happen. Try growing within natures bounty, cut less grow more...
