So the title says it all.
Not that the european democracies are perfect. Not at all
Look at the current Genocide occuring in Gaza, a few european countries are blocking sanctions against Israel and therefore letting the genocide go on and on forever.
So I dont see any positives in european democracies anymore as they are not able to uphold basic human rights and human dignity and have themselves a direct connection to the misery that happens in many places around the world.
Now compare that low quality democracy that europe is having with the american which is in fact not even a democracy as since the beginning ot the nation only two parties have ruled the country, one diminishes the work of the other and its mostly about money.
The electoral college system in the USA prohibits immensely the creation of a third party, because the party that has the majority of the votes in one state takes over the whole state, so the lower percentage of voters that casted their vote for a third party will be completely ignored.
Therefore the parties don't receive a seat in congress or parliament and dont create coalitions between each other to represent the people, it wil alway be republican and democrats, if you hate both your opinion and vote has no count at all.
You will be supposed to support both parties, which is filled with purchased senators by various types of lobbies especially the AIPAC lobby.
Beside the fact that a third party will never have the chance to be created, the amounts of money that these two parties that always hate and oppose each other, spend in order to have big campaigns and to brainwash and manipulate the voters in all types of ways is absurd.
European countries spend a fraction of the campaign funds that these two american parties spend.
All in all the system in the USA can be rather described as a two party dictatorship, as the party that governs does not even have a coalition partner to team up with and adress the issues of the people, rather they only serve themselves and the lobbyists.
