Hi Anyone who is listening. Well my girlfriend and I have moved around alot in the past year or so and we found this cheap to rent house in the paper. It's very old and has alot of personal effects remaining from the old couple who owned it for a long time. I found a antique stabbing dagger in a leather coated metal sheath with a creepy inscription on the blade, it was hidden in the attic, found when I was rigging ducting. All kinds of super old household items and tools are around also, including handpainted creepy paintings done by the old lady and just knick-knacks kinda stuff, real old shit.
The story from the new landlords that have only owned it for a few months is... the old man died here somewhere in the house, the widowed old lady became senile or unable to care for herself and was removed by her daughter sometime in the last year I imagine.
Upon moving in my girlfriend said to me, " I feel something in this house, I'm serious "my name" " so I started paying a little more attention, you know, more than I normally would to about the otherside.
Well about three or four days after her mentioning I was sitting on the toilet on the main floor toilet and the cabinet door that was sealed in a glass cabinet slowly swung out in a 90 degree motion and stopped, it looked mechanized, no word of a lie, I checked it for a lean or any reason of swinging, nope. Surprisingly I am very calm when this stuff happens. Then my growroom i recently setup went 10 degrees colder within about 5-10 seconds and all the hairs stood up as I got an undeniably creepy feeling. That was wierd, really wierd.
After around two weeks of living here we had heard noises upstairs late at night on a regular basis and even sometimes early in the morning, the sounds of footsteps, but with a sound like wearing hard heeled shoes like dress shoes or tap shoes, something like that. We have had things go missing alot, like gone. Never to be seen again, even though we know they were in the house... hmmm.
Another thing that has me worried is the fact that semi-violent things have now started happening. I had a relative mention that it may get worse. One eveninge we were laughing hysterically at the dog, I decided to plop about a quarter pound of cooked spaghetti noodles onto his head and he just froze stone cold and slowly ate it, blind. We were roaring with laughter when, all of the sudden my huge Dewalt sabre saw fell off the large hook in the staircase by the basement and crashed all the way down the stairs, there was NO WAY it could have fallen on it's own. a picture lifted clear off the wall and fell to the floor in front of my girlfriend a couple days ago.
Even as I type this right now, alone because my girl is off the island visiting, I've been hearing things upstairs so has my dog, he looks up and has a unsettlingly calm, sorta knowing look everytime there is major noise, not just a creak but steps and loud taps. He clearly hears them and seems cool with it, he looks up into the corners, doorways or cielings every now and then and just stares, he's never ever done that since I owned him as a pup.
What do I do if this get's worse?? My girlfriend wants to call in a priest pretty soon she says. We are not crazy at all, very sane normal people. I'm getting spooked out more and more as the days go by. I used to try to talk to it/them late at night when my girl was asleep I went upstairs into the creepiest room in the house, the guestroom (soon to be flowering room " Muhuahaha... and spoke to it, saying things like, " Hi we are the new people that are gonna live in your house, we don't mean any bother to you, but this is our house to live in now and we thank you for letting us live here peacefully", and stuff like " If there is someone here with me now give me a sign please..." nothing, no replys ever just nuisance. I don't do this anymore, it seems I have come down with more fear of whatever this presence is, not fear, uneasiness.
Any thought on this?
