Hi

Grown these from seeds about a month old, in IWS system, lights on 18/6

PH 5.6
EC 1.2

on the tips of the leaves most of them are turning yellow an the only difference is i have upped my ec from 0.8 to 1.2 is this what has caused it?

if so what do i do next to fix it

You may want to raise your pH up to 5.8 or let it swing from 5.6 to 6.1. This may correct the problem but you may want to cut your step up in half when you add nutes too. Just my opinion though, good luck with them and happy growing!

Could be the begining of nute burn, yes. Back off the nute strength to 50 - 75%, and see what happens
yup thats the start of nute burn. back off the ppms (do not just flush). those burnt tips will never go away, so dont expect them to change. as long as the new growth comes in healthy its fixed.

You say to fix this just add water until PPM cuts in half? Do not flush at all? Why?

yea i tried adding water before to cut down ppm and it made the problem worse... ended up flushing and saw a difference in new growth the very next day... imo id flush

i had the exacty opposite experience. saw some nute burn, so i flushed for 18 hrs with reg phed water, and saw cal-mag def. Depends on the strain in question just sharing what happened on my end. Hope you get it figured out.
and i never said just add water. Start over. mix new res with less ppm.
