'Nuff said.
Guess you didn't read the newsletters he published for almost 20 years.

From CNN:

The controversial newsletters include rants against the Israeli lobby, gays, AIDS victims and Martin Luther King Jr. -- described as a "pro-Communist philanderer." One newsletter, from June 1992, right after the LA riots, says "order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks."

Another says, "The criminals who terrorize our cities -- in riots and on every non-riot day -- are not exclusively young black males, but they largely are. As children, they are trained to hate whites, to believe that white oppression is responsible for all black ills, to 'fight the power,' to steal and loot as much money from the white enemy as possible."

And before you go on about "He never wrote those articles with his name all over them..."

In some excerpts, the reader may be led to believe the words are indeed from Paul, a resident of Lake Jackson, Texas. In the "Ron Paul Political Report" from October 1992, the writer describes carjacking as the "hip-hop thing to do among the urban youth who play unsuspecting whites like pianos."
The author then offers advice from others on how to avoid being carjacked, including "an ex-cop I know," and says, "I frankly don't know what to make of such advice, but even in my little town of Lake Jackson, Texas, I've urged everyone in my family to know how to use a gun in self defense. For the animals are coming."

Ahhh the animal blacks are coming to destroy whitey.

How you people can get behind this dude is beyond me.

What do you mean? Most of these Ron Paul supporters would probably agree with everything you posted above. Don't you get it yet? Can't you see the real reason behind all the hatred and intolerance these guys spit?

Hint: it's because they are intolerant and afraid of minorities usurping white power.

from CNN "None of the newsletters CNN found says who wrote them, but each was published under Paul's name between his stints as a U.S. congressman from Texas."

in other words Ron Paul did not write ANY of the things you say he did. it was a newsletter that Dr. Paul ONLY Contributes to, he is not the publisher of the newsletter either. IN FACT Dr. Paul was not even involved with the newsletter in the late 80's and early 90's

"When you bring this question up, you're really saying, 'You're a racist' or 'Are you a racist?' And the answer is, 'No, I'm not a racist,'" he said.
Paul said he had never even read the articles with the racist comments.

"I do repudiate everything that is written along those lines," he said, adding he wanted to "make sure everybody knew where I stood on this position because it's obviously wrong."

so this comes from you own source,in fact its the very article you posted, just minus the truth. I wonder why you didn't include all of it? Is it maybe because your very own article repudiates itself?

FWIW I see Barack Obama as Human Being, the fact that he is half white has no bearing on my thought what so ever. I am NOT a racist. If people only realized just how much we are alike instead of only focusing on the very small differences between races.

Austin NAACP President Nelson Linder, who has known Ron Paul for 20 years, unequivocally dismissed charges that the Congressman was a racist.

But thats ok I know you can't get passed your own rascism.
Being a bunch of Liberals you are the ones breaking people up into groups.
Civil libertarians treat everyone the same as individuals.
Both the parties don't want him and would love to link him with any rascist thing they can.
I know its easier to smear him then to try to beat him in a debate.
If all he has to worry about is liberals crying rascist.
He's probably safe, since thats about all you have.

In his own words its only 34 seconds JRH:

I never said Ron Paul was racist. He probably isn't. This is not even the issue, so why include me? I made NO claim about Paul, but continue to misrepresent my arguments please.

I know some of his supporters (close family members), and I was describing their mindset and why they like Paul so much. Paul may not be racist, but I know many of his supporters certainly are. They like him because they THINK he's like them (racist). When, as I stated, he may very well be an upstanding guy. I dismiss him solely on the grounds that he's from Texas ;-).

Let's just assume that these things published under his name for years were not written by him, even though they mention the small town he lived in as "my home town". Let's just go ahead and make that tremendous fucking leap in logic...

Am I also to make the tremendous leap that he was UNAWARE of the things being written in the newsletter with his name on it for YEARS? Am I to assume that NOBODY EVER brought to his attention the slanderous racist remarks made over SEVERAL years under his name?

Please. Sell crazy somewhere else. I'm all stocked up.

The last racist I met was a black man. Im not saying there aren't plenty of racist whites out there, but it goes both ways. People love to label one another with those fear mongering hateful descriptions only so they can easily dismiss the "Racist" as only spewing "Crazy"talk cuz that's all racists are capable of.

"I am a Black American Veteran and I do not believe that Ron Paul wrote that statement; the first year that he was my Congressman he made a lasting impression on me because he is a true Patriot. I have talked to him at Town Hall meeting and He called me the night the War started, racist don't call black men for their opinion of why we had to go to war, or anything else. I agree with Duke, ("Ron Paul issued a statement about this months ago. This is a rehash hit-piece by CNN. No surprise. Your network disgusts me more and more everyday".)
The people that know Ron Paul will tell you, that this report by the New Republic is a non starter with them. I think all black men 70 years old can recognize a racist after talking to them for one second. As a black man, I have been waiting to vote for a true Patriot like Ron Paul all my life".

Its all ancient history as far as Paul is concerned, these issues got brought up 20 years ago and were squashed then.

BUT,
"Ron Paul may not be a racist, but he became complicit in a strategy of pandering to racists—and taking "moral responsibility" for that now means more than just uttering the phrase. It means openly grappling with his own past—acknowledging who said what, and why. Otherwise he risks damaging not only his own reputation, but that of the philosophy to which he has committed his life.

Words have meaning.

The examples I gave you were from the mid to late 90s. That is not 20 years ago... though they went on for more than 20 years. His reply has been flat out denial of knowledge that they existed and were penned in his name. His response to "catering to racists" which is an action unbefitting a leader on its own merit, was to disavow all knowledge of them. Not presidential. Not even close.

You can show me all the friends of Paul you want who "don't think he is a racist" and I will show you friends whom would benefit from their friend being president.

"I don't think Ron Paul is a racist."

I don't give a shit.

Just my .02.

I dunno... Obama had no idea Rev. Wright was a loony racist after 20 years of attendance.

No idea...that's what he said.

So it is possible?!..

That isn't what he said @ CJ

You mean to tell me, that for 20+ years he put out newsletters under his own name, and never read them... and furthermore had no idea who was writing for him. How do you not have anything to do with a paper which bares your own name that you DO write articles for? How do you not get feedback on WHAT you have put in print under your name?

He might be a good guy... my uncle is a good guy... who just happens to hate kikes and niggers. I wouldn't have him lead the nation either.

The notion that he was unaware for decades that HIS newsletter said these things is delusional.

Obama did attend that church for many years and said he NEVER heard any looney talk (yes, it was all taken out of context ).... so why the double standard?

Reverend Wright evidently didn't focus on sensationalism until "Audacity of Hope" came out, focusing worldwide attention to the church.

Obama simply said that he didn't discuss this anti-american crap on the pulpit or in private, until recently. With all of the resources behind Clinton and the GOP, this statement could not be contradicted. I take it at face value. If you have some evidence to the contrary... by all means contribute. I don't see an aspiring political figure being associated with someone known to spew anti-American rhetoric. It would be a bad political move... but then... you do have Ayers.

Yah, I am for being able to swing the big stick if the carrot isn't eaten. I do like Ron Paul's ideas, but unless he can get the VP nomination, we'll never get to see him in action....
