Tip For New Out Door Growers Of Medical Marijuna

Hey Bro thanks on the info this is my first time grow. im a medical marijuana patient in california (Bay Area) an i also live near a wildlife refuge so we have all kinds of shit flying around. ive been noticing my leaves getting holes in em but their is no sign of spider mites or anything under leafs or anything i know its better to be safe then sorry but im already in my 2nd to 3rd week of flowering is it safe to spray neem oil on it still? here are some pics.

Neem oil can leave a taste so I wouldn't if possible. I used an aerosol low value pyrethrum last year and it worked quite well on the spider mites in my green house and they were about 4 weeks into flower. Use it twice so you get the eggs too. This year, I got spider mites on my indoor a few days before harvest so I just pulled the plants and washed them off with water, let 'em dry for a day out in the sun and then lights off and harvest. That worked very well but I was AT harvest and wasn't going to put anything on the buds other than water. I can say that I was surprised how well the spider mites washed off the plant. I've already got my next soil cooking and it contains both neem and karanja cake and I'm hoping that really helps keep the pests at bay. Guess, I'll know in a few months. I also have neem oil and will be spraying prophylactically during veg on the next grow. These pests are really a pain once they appear. I'm hoping to keep things more at bay in the future.
 
Did you get a picture? You should always photograph. It will heightened your passion for gardening. Gotta believe TLC like that would get them plants loving life and thus boom..
 
Holes are from biting bugs. You need to treat the plant and area - even if you don't see them. You might as well face it; to grow the yield and quality you want - pest control is something you just gotta do. Don't ever think you can let it go. All that time and hard work can screw you up -especially if you only have a few plants.
 
Didn't buy from a hydro store. Bought at a top shelf organic gardening store. I hear about all these things. Tried many. They all seem to - maybe work.
You can't taste of of the stuff. Its also not harmful. It you would be amazed at the deadly organic chemical compounds your body creates and utilizes on its own.
Been growing this way for years. I am told I look 20 years younger. Great teeth. Feel healthier then an ox.
 
Look into mold resilient strains. Be cautious if you grow tight buds. I bet the drying and curing will be awesome. Bugs and insects like the plant especially in the prime late flower into bud up to harvest. I have lost a few good plants in past years by being lazy in the last few days.

Apparently it even protects from birds and rabbits, and if I paint the mesh green it would hide the plant better.

Shit. definitly lots of white moths when i went out last night and shook the girls up. But none of the bad pests that ive heard or read about. I was told they are just pantry moths, nothin to worry about, but damn they sure love to hang out in the cannabis at night. I still havnt found any damage though. whew.
 
I have 2 gorgeous girls in my organic garden along with my veggies and have not had one bug...I live in the San Bernardino Mnts....perhaps I just got lucky☮
 
Dude - keep the moths away. "Lots" not as good. Keep a close eye and start getting them out of their. Please. If you don't you will be sorry. Your calyx will be swiss cheese.

I'm seeing little black spots. I sprayed last week with neem but i found a little tiny web going this morning and it wasn't big enough to be a legit spider. I think I have to get them with somthing else.

I've found it effective in the past. I think i really ducked up my holes in the ground by having it so close to the native foliage. Its like leaning over and holding my hand out giving pests a boost onto the crop.
 
Yeah and it doesn't stink too bad...its kind of an acquired smell.

I've been down on an Indian chick though so I can stand it

Got it. Besides sticky traps maybe i can put a zapper, cause they attract to the light. But the stickies may not work well at night because im not out there to shake the moths away. I stood staring at the plants last evening and didnt see a thing until i shook them. And , not lots, but enough little white moths flew out and about. They are slow too. So we were stomping and smashing em on the wall next to the plants. I noticed if i kept the porch light on that they swarm to the light..........argh!

I thought it worked the other way around for all moths and butterflies. That they start as worms, then hatch. I know they will breed and make babies, though I guess.
